Irregular supply of sparesIrregular supply of sparesWith increase in production of LHB coaches, spares

were always in short supply.RCF is catering to the requirement of RBL from 2010-11

& will have to cater for Budge Budge from 2012-13. As a result, Railways were not getting full quota of their

demanded spares.Last year, the 3 Rlys viz N Rly, E Rly & W Rly were

requested to gear up for undertaking procurement of spares at Zonal level.

For better availability of spares, the Railways agreed to purchase all LHB spares on their own from 2011 onwards.

W Rly had started procurement wef CP 2009-10.
