The Pledge of Allegiance

C Recite the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. No side conversations.

H Wait to ask for help until the pledge is over.

A The Pledge to the American Flag and the Texas Flag.

M Stand still to show respect for those who have fought and died for you to have the freedoms / choices you have today.

P Recite the pledge if you choose to; if you choose not to, you must stand and be silent.

S Stop whatever you are doing when the Pledge comes on – If you are walking in the halls, courtyard, etc. STOP and stand still until the pledges are over. Do not disrupt this time for others who want to participate.

Raise your hand for clarification AFTER the moment of silence is completed.

Students may rest their heads on their desks during the moment of silence.

Students should remain still during the moment of silence (no flapping pages, drumming on desks, etc.).Practice still body and mind during the moment of silence. If you are walking, etc., STOP and stand still until moment of silence is over.

Tests and quizzes may be short answer, true/false, multiple choice, matching, or computer simulation.Remain seated. Raise hand when quiz is completed so teacher may get it. Print only as directed.

Take the test and submit it, then quietly begin the next assignment if time permits.

BUS EVACUATION DRILL

C You may speak QUIETLY while proceeding to/from the bus area; however, NO talking while ON the bus.

H Ask the teacher for assistance by voice or raised hand.

A Evacuation drill to practice bus safety; return to class immediately thereafter to proceed with class work.

M Walk in pairs QUICKLY to/from the designated bus area.

P Every student is expected to participate during the drill to PRACTICE bus safety rules/regulations/procedures.
