• Large envelope, addressed to college, with 4 stamps
• If requested BEFORE first quarter grades are available, a business size, addressed envelope with 1 stamp
• If school is requiring MID TERM (1st semester grades) another business size, addressed envelope with 1 stamp
• ANY OTHER SUPPORTING MATERIALS such as secondary school reports, recommendations, etc.

Reminder:
Tolland High School does NOT send your standardized test scores (SAT, ACT). YOU must have your scores sent directly from the testing service (college board, act) to the schools that you are applying to!!
MCC Application Process
• Apply February 1, 2012 (www.my.commnet.edu).• You will be scheduled for your assessment testing
in late March/early April.• You will then participate in a student advising
seminar and be scheduled for courses by May, 2012.
**If you have taken the SAT and scored 450 or above on the critical reading and 500 or above on the math, you will not need to take the assessment test. Have the college board send your scores directly to MCC.**
Applications are not reviewed until all materials are received by the Office of Admission. These materials include:
• A completed Common Application and URI Supplement, which are both available and preferred online.
• Application fee of $65 (can be paid online) • Official high school transcript (sent by the school) • List of senior courses (admission is contingent upon successful completion of all your
current coursework) • Official SAT or ACT Scores ( MUST be sent electronically by the testing service: the
URI ID code is 3919 for SAT and 3818 for ACT) • Essay (pharmacy applicants must include an additional paragraph explaining your
choice of major)• At least one letter of recommendation (please limit to two). If your guidance counselor
writes your letter of recommendation (which is our preference), there is no need to submit a teacher evaluation/recommendation; pharmacy applicants are required to provide two letters of recommendation (see details below).
Application deadlines for fall 2012 • Early Action / Merit Scholarship: December 1, 2011 (received by)
Nursing and Pharmacy majors are encouraged to apply by December 1st• Freshman Application: February 1, 2012• Enrollment and Housing Deposit: May 1, 2012 (postmarked) • Spring admission (January) 2012: November 1, 2011
To apply for admission, applicants must submit the following information to the Office of Admissions:
• A completed application for admission including the non-refundable $50 application fee. Apply Online
• An official secondary school transcript (including first quarter senior grades) and/or General Education Diploma.
• SAT I or ACT scores. • Two letters of recommendation. • College transcript(s) - (if applicable). • Essay- up to 500 words explaining why Eastern, Connecticut's public liberal arts
university, is the right college choice for you. Essays can be submitted via email to [email protected].
• TOEFL (Minimum TOEFL requirement: Score of 550 or 213 on the computer-based test. Required of international applicants only).

• THS does NOT send transcripts and other forms electronically so you will need to print out the Secondary School Report for your counselor if it is required for your school.
• Teachers are NOT able to submit recommendations via Naviance/Family Connection so you either need to “invite them” or print out the Teacher Evaluation forms from the “Download Forms” section of the common app.

• Don’t display or be tagged in questionable photos !
• Don’t join or start inappropriate groups!• Don’t post objectionable content such as
racist or other offensive comments. • Don’t display violent content.• Be cautious about posting negative content
on your profile, especially about the admissions process.
• Don’t have discussions with your friends via wall posting about which schools are better than others, etc…
