Recessions reshape the construction industry
Every 20 years, significant change takes place in the construction industry:
1970s: The ‘oil crisis’ and recession of the early 1970’s introduced the concept of designing for energy conservation.
1990s: The recession of the early 1990’s introduced widespread use of CAD and improved communications (fax, mobile phones etc)
2010s What will the recession of the early 2010’s bring?

What is Green BIM anyway?
NBS BIM Definition:
A Building Information Model is a rich information model, consisting of potentially multiple data sources, elements of which can be shared across all stakeholders and be maintained across the life of a building from inception to recycling (cradle to cradle).
The information model can include contract and specification properties, personnel, programming, quantities, cost, spaces and
geometry.

Co-ordinate the models and keep them co-ordinated- Design efficiency through collaboration of parties in the team- Reduce or remove prospects of late project delivery- Reduce or remove re-working of incorrect construction
