You’re here by divine appointment, not by chance, since we have often prayed that God would lead you to us. The Dream Centre is your spiritual hub, connecting people to the dream of the King, which is imparted and fulfilled in those found serving Him. Just by being here, you’re already beginning to lay hold of your own destiny. Who are we?The Dream Centre is pastored by Tony & Carol Higginson, who work alongside a passionate team of dedicated elders and like-minded people. Our church is part of one of the world’s largest Pentecostal denominations, The Assemblies of God and enjoys a winning strategic partnership with the global apostolic source, I.S.A.A.C. (International Strategic Alliance of Apostolic Churches).

What you can expectOn arrival you can expect a warm, friendly greeting from one of our Welcome Team. After being shown to your seat, we trust you’ll experience even more wonderful hospitality from everyone who’s here to worship with you at The Dream Centre.

Service starts at 10.30am… and this is no ordinary church meeting. We’re here to meet with God, which means creating an atmosphere each week that allows people to see, hear and touch Him. This enables our people to give God their very best, which is every individual’s divine right and personal responsibility as passionate worshippers of the God we’re reaching out to.

The Dream Centre makes it a priority to gather corporately around the banqueting table of God’s Word. The living Word of God inspires, instructs and transforms lives everyday by aligning our behaviours and thinking patterns to His purpose. As a result, in accordance with the Word, you can expect accurate preaching and teaching that’s practical, prophetic… and occasionally humorous!

Children also play a large role at The Dream Centre and we cater for all age groups; Crèche (ages from 0 - 4 years), Children’s Church (ages from 4 - 11 years) and Youth Group (ages 11 to 18 years). All our young people are cared for by an inspiring team of gifted individuals, whose gift, talent and drive gives them all the fuel they need for accelerated spiritual growth.

The Dream Centre experience

We see a church whose very heart is to fulfil the purposes

of God through everything she does. We see a company of

believers who carry within them the prophetic and apostolic

D.N.A. for bringing about city transformation. We see a

church that is so God-centred and purpose-given that her

only response is to empower its people in becoming all they

are destined to become. We see a church that God Himself

is divinely positioning in order to fulfil the requirements

of kingdom life. A church that is so vibrant that it infects

and affects the people that she reaches; a church whose

purpose is to reveal the dream of the King to all peoples,

tribes and nations.

We see a church where people are recklessly in love with God,

so much so, that they pursue after Him in wild abandonment,

living lives free from containment and limitations. We see a

church where people plug in, connect and build, as well as

a place where people let go and give in to the will and ways

of God. We see a church where every person is mobilised,

every gift utilised, every relationship defined and every need

met; a church where every strategy is accurately executed.

We see a church where every opportunity is seized, every

resource multiplied and every life transformed.

We see a church where its people have grasped that within

them lies the very latent power of God empowering them

to become more than they presently see or have become.

We see a church whose frequency is changing lives,

influencing every domain and impacting every structure

through the enduring Word of God.

We see a church where believers live holy and righteous

lives; where extravagant worshippers unselfishly gather to

touch the heavens in order to change the earth. We see

a church that understands what it means to build with a

multi-generational mindset, believing that it takes all three

generations working together in unison to build a governing

house. We see a church whose Maker is returning for His

investment, and when He does, He will find within the lives

of His people faith, hope, obedience and enthusiasm all being

utilised in a God-given season of life.

We see a church

As you are reading this you are probably intrigued and maybe

question the phrase, ‘a church with a difference’. This phrase

is in no way meant to imply that one church is better than

any other, but it simply highlights that The Dream Centre is

a centre with a difference. As you read further on, you will

hopefully develop a clearer understanding as to the intent of

the above phrase.

Uncompromising and non-negotiable behaviourWhat makes the Dream Centre a church with a difference is

that she leads from inner core beliefs, that when expressed,

bring about a clear distinct behaviour within all its partners.

When core beliefs are adopted, they are better known simply

as values but a value is not a value until it first becomes an

internal conviction. Once a core value becomes active and

alive, living on the inside of the human heart, it then becomes

non-negotiable.

When God gave Israel the Ten Commandments, they were

given to mankind in order to teach and remind him that not

only does heaven have a value system, but more so, through

such values, man’s behaviour and thinking patterns reflect

that of his Creator. Since the day God first gave these values

to Israel, God has never compromised or negotiated the

convictions of His own heart, for to do so would make Him

a double-minded God.

Though The Dream Centre is a house with clear vision and purpose, it has a clear conviction to a value system that gives those living them true stature in God, for to live without values is like living in an unfurnished house. Many people to date confuse values with that of doctrinal beliefs. Understanding this, we have outlined a separate list of our fundamental beliefs in order to alleviate any confusion. These fundamental beliefs can be obtained at the back of the church. Each and every value outlined in this brochure is given in order to remind and empower every individual to:

Each and every value outlined by The Dream Centre is done so in order to guide and steer people towards living with a clear, distinct, biblical behavioural pattern that keeps one’s life and heart fresh before God. It is because of an inner conviction to our values that we, The Dream Centre, refuse to negotiate or compromise knowing that the values we compromise and negotiate today become the battles that our children will have to fight tomorrow. It is living non-

negotiable values that make us a church with a difference.

Church with a difference

Here at The Dream Centre, we want those outside of the

church to come to a knowledge of Jesus Christ through those

inside the church. This is called a soul-winning culture, which

Matthew 28: 19 – 20 implores the church to become.

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them

in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.

And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

EvangelismThroughout each year, we as a church demonstrate our

intent in becoming the above culture by showing various

initiatives ranging from ‘fun in the community’ days, market

evangelism, youth and children’s outreaches plus our much

anticipated Christmas giveaway, all of which are done with

the purpose of reaching and interacting with the people of

the community.

MissionsReaching beyond our geographical boundaries and seizing

key doors of opportunity in order to fulfil our assignment

is very much part of why we exist here at The Dream

Centre. Our assignment in working in the nations sees

us take on many challenges ranging from education, feeding

programmes, street outreach training and equipping

people in new and current revelations and technologies of

God’s Word.

EnvironmentParticular attention is given to the health of the church over

the size of the church. Why? Because everything that is

healthy grows but not everything that is large is healthy!

ConnectionConnecting people to their purpose is the primary

assignment of leadership and because of this, once people

are connected to purpose, many benefits then begin to

follow such as relationships and fellowship.

FocusEmpowering people to become active in their specific field

of life, talent and gifting.

InfluenceInfluencing people by what we do as well as by what we

say so that people themselves will influence others by their

words and actions.

place that He can take pleasure in.
