WELCOME Not a Fairy TaleLuke 24:1-11 Dr. Simon Greenleaf was an authority on the laws of evidence and Professor of Law at Harvard University. He wrote concerning the testimony of Christ’s disciples: “It was therefore impossible that they could have persisted in affirming the truths they have narrated, had not Jesus actually risen from the dead, and had they not known this fact as certainly as they knew any other fact.” Sir Lionel Luckhoo wrote:

“I have spent more than 42 years as a defense trial lawyer appearing in many parts of the world and am still in active practice. I have been fortunate to secure a number of successes in jury trials and I say unequivocally the evidence for the Resurrection of Jesus Christ is so overwhelming that it compels acceptance by proof which leaves absolutely no room for doubt.”

Christ arose from the dead! It is no fairy tale! Acts 1:3 says Christ showed, “himself alive after his passion by MANY INFALLIBLE PROOFS.”I. The _____________________ emptiness (Luke 24:3, 6).

The law of jurisprudence: If eyewitnesses have given an unvarying congruent testimony with no incontrovertible evidence is produced to disprove it, and thereafter reduced to written form, it cannot be disannulled or abrogated unless conclusive evidence is produced to overthrow it’s testimony. In plainer words, the only way to overthrow the written testimony of eyewitnesses would be to produce the body of Jesus Christ!

From the Preacher…THE CHARACTER OF JESUS CHRIST

Do you realize that Jesus never corrected; withdrew; or amended any statement He ever made? I wish I could say that! Jesus Christ never apologized for anything He ever did or said. He never sought advice from anyone; nor ever needed to ask for forgiveness.  Jesus Christ doesn’t have any strong points.  For Him to have strong points; He would have to have weak points. Robert Clark has described the character of Jesus; thus: 

“There was meekness without weakness; tenderness without feebleness; firmness without coarseness; love without sentimentality; holiness without sanctimoniousness; lowliness without lowness; truth without error; enthusiasm without fanaticism; passion without prejudice; heavenly mindedness without forgetfulness; carefreeness without carelessness; service without servility; self exaltation without egotism; judgment without harshness; seriousness without somberness; mercy without softness.” 

What a person was the Lord Jesus Christ! Today, embrace the death, burial and resurrection of our Savior with this renewed sense of Who He was—His matchless character. This is the One Who laid down His life for YOU.
