Dual Credit OpportunitiesA Partnership between Tillamook Bay Community College and our teachers provides students the opportunity to earn college credit while in high school. This past year we graduated a student with an associates degree! That’s a savings of 2 years of post-secondary education and an average of $30,000 at a community college and $60,000 at a public university!A full list of current dual credit classes will be sent out to students via email…Current dual credit classes this trimester include: Art, Intro to Business, AP English A, Physical Science: Geology, Government, Psychology, and ForestryTBCC Opportunity this term:TBCC is again offering their classes for free to our juniors and seniors. • Goal is to have each student apply to at least one school or program

• Ideal is for student to apply to 1 community college, 1 safe school, the school of choice and a dream school if student has one… Reminder that students on free/reduced lunch qualify for fee waivers that can be used for testing and most college application purposes…

• It helps students if they can visit and explore campus’ and/or programs they are interested in whether via 2-yr, 4-yr, trade or military options…

• Students who plan to enter directly into workforce will spend additional time involved in job search applications such as resume’s, cover letters, interviewing, etc…

• Additional week for community colleges scheduled later in the year
