WELCOME
Hi and welcome to this issue of the WARA Newsletter. My name is
Dave Valcic and I look forward to keeping our members and
associates informed and amused but in saying this I really need
some input from you guys. Any useful information/ideas, Ranger
related stories, jokes and photos are welcome and can be sent to
[email protected].
I know we all lead busy lives and hence the length of time it
has taken to get this issue off the ground but as we all know many
hands make for light work.
INTRODUCING – RANGER DAVE
Born in Sydney NSW 1961. I was a cook for two years until
joining the Australian Regular Army in 1979 where I spent a good
twelve years working as an Air Dispatcher, Driver and in the
Administration field. Moved to Perth in 1990 and was gainfully
employed at the City of Fremantle as a Parking Officer/Ranger for
fourteen years. I found that I was becoming inspired by expired
meters so in 2006 I took a full time Rangers position with the City
of Rockingham where I am still currently employed.
I have just about seen and done it all but I am always learning
something new or updating my skills thanks to the wonderful efforts
of all past and present WARA Committee Members, the C.Y. O’Connor
Institute, our sponsors and my current employer.
