The bus will leave the church at 8:00 am. FALL FESTIVAL AND TRUNK-OR-TREAT, 6-9 PM, OCTOBER 31: Volunteers needed to man carnival games, serve food, provide trunk or treat booths and donate candy. If you can help, see Lindsey or Stetson Blaylock or a staff member. There is also a do- nation box for candy at the information desk. OFFICE POSITION OPEN: The staff will be accepting resumes from the church membership for the position of Financial Administra- tor through the month of October. CALLED TO FAITH

Mark 4:40, Matthew 8:26

I. LITTLE FAITH—Matthew 8:26 A. There is no doubt what Jesus is saying

in this verse. B. Fear and Faith are the opposite of

one another C. Faith can be tested

1. By a storm—text 2. By a trial—James 1:2-3

Forsaking All I Trust Him

3. James 1:4

II. GREAT FAITH—Matthew 8:10 A. His faith was in the right person. B. Faith is complete trust—“I believe” C. His faith is demonstrated in:

1. His attitude—vs. 8a—unworthy 2. His thinking—vs. 8b-9—“just give

the word” D. The kind of faith that AMAZES God

1. Vs.10 2. Isaiah 66:1-2 (the kind of person

that gets God’s attention) 3. What about verse 2 (THIS IS THE

KIND OF PERSON THAT GETS GOD’S ATTENTION
