WELCOME MASSEGE

Dear Colleagues, The Executive and the Organizing Committee would like to welcome you to the AABB Mini-Symposium and Assessor Course, which will be held on 13-15 April 2009 at King Abdulaziz University, in Jeddah Saudi Arabia. The symposium goals include linking local transfusion medicine practitioners with international up-to-date knowledge, and to provide training in blood banks quality and accreditation. The topics that will be covered and discussed in the symposium will be in the form of scientific presentations, round table discussions and workshops with hands on practice in different transfusion medicine related practices which will be moderated by international and local experts. There will also be opportunities for all participants to submit and participate by posters presentations related to the topics that will presented in the different sessions , and discuss their local findings and experience visiting the experts. We hope that this mini- symposium will prove to be a good chance for participants to share and exchange experience and knowledge with international and national experts in the field of transfusion medicine. We are looking forward to meeting you in Jeddah and we hope you will enjoy your stay.
