From Mark 16:14, Jesus appeared to the eleven as they sat at table; and rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen. 1 Corinthians 15:20 declares that Christ has indeed risen from the dead, and has become the first fruit of those who have fallen asleep. And the scriptures boldly declare that whoever believes in Him will never be put to shame [Romans 10:11]. Mark 16:16 says he who believes in Christ and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. In fact, he who does not believe is condemned already [John 3:18]. Believing in Christ also opens us up for the manifesta- tion of the power of the Holy Spirit [Mark 16:17-18]. God calls us not only to Believe in Christ, but also make Him known to others, through Preaching and the Demonstration of His Power: Jesus calls people first to believe and personally encounter Him, then to go and tell others about Him; and to demonstrate His manifold wisdom and power as they tell others about Him [Mark 1:16-17; Matthew 4:18-19; Mark 3:13 -15]; and He calls us because the harvest truly is great but the laborers are few [Luke 10:1-2]. All who have come to believe in Christ are, therefore, charged to tell others about Him. Je- sus commands all disciples, “go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature [Mark 16:15]. Many believers are simply laid back about telling others about Christ. But it is important to be reminded of two very important things: first, we are to deliver those who are drawn to death, and hold back those stumbling to the slaughter, and if we say, we did not know about it, God who weighs the heart will surely ren- der to us according to our deeds [Proverbs 24:11-12]. Sec- ondly, we are only truly innocent of the blood of all men after we declare to them the whole counsel of God [Ezekiel 33:1-9; Acts 20:26-27]. God’s arms are open, ready to welcome all who will place their faith in Christ; He is also willing to go with you to reach the lost [Mark 16:20]; are you ready? Sermon Summary 30th December, 2018

“Believe ,Go and Tell”

(Mr. Kofi Osew )

God calls all to Believe in Christ: Not believing the scriptures, not believing in Christ, and in His resurrection is dangerous for several reasons: Hebrews 11:6 says without faith it is im-possible to please God; it is also impossible to experience sal-vation without faith in Christ and in His finished work [Romans 10:9-10]; not believing the resurrection means deny-ing that Jesus is the Son of God [Romans 1:4]. From Mark

16:14, Jesus appeared to the eleven as they sat at table; and rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen. Believing in Christ also opens us up for the manifesta-

tion of the power of the Holy Spirit [Mark 16:17-18]. God calls us not only to Believe in Christ, but also make Him known to others, through Preaching and the Demonstration of His Power: Jesus calls people first to believe and personally encounter Him, then to go and tell others about Him; and to demonstrate His manifold wisdom and power as they tell others about Him [Mark 1:16-17; Matthew 4:18-19; Mark 3:13-15]; and He calls us because the harvest truly is great but the laborers are few [Luke 10:1-2]. All who have come to believe in Christ are, therefore, charged to tell others about Him. Je-

sus commands all disciples, “go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature [Mark 16:15]. Many believers are simply laid back about telling others about Christ. But it is important to be reminded of two very important things: first, we are to deliver those who are drawn to death, and hold back those stumbling to the slaughter, and if we say, we did not know about it, God who weighs the heart will surely ren-der to us according to our deeds [Proverbs 24:11-12]. Sec-ondly, we are only truly innocent of the blood of all men after we declare to them the whole counsel of God [Ezekiel 33:1-9;

Acts 20:26-27]. God’s arms are open, ready to welcome all who will place their faith in Christ; He is also willing to go with you to reach the lost [Mark 16:20]; are you ready?

REFLECTION: Our dependable God

God conceived His covenant, took the initiative, finished it all by Himself, chose us to partake in the benefits

and equipped us to be able to partake. And He depends on us to tell others He has also chosen to accept His

choice of them. Yet, He still calls us to depend on Him to do what He depends on us to do for Him.
