I am a photographer, a mom of two boys, and a wife that is never wrong... never. ;) Long story short, I married in 2006 and in 2007 my husband had a brain hemorrhage. I walked away from my corpo-rate finance job and photography found me as a way to hold onto life’s precious moments. As weird as it photography kinda saved me.

When I started my photography journey families scared me to death if I was being completely honest. I was an exclusive wedding photographer for five years and then after my second son August, which I call wild child I decided to open up one date for families and I was hooked. I think through me being a Mom and having a “crazy” I understand and know the importance of family pictures and capturknow the importance of family pictures and captur-ing you and your family. A couple random facts are I love fashion/design, I love coffee/wine, and I love people... all in no particular order! :)

DURING THE SESSION When I say all of this I know this from personal experience as well as being a photographer. Kids are completely unpredictable…. Even husbands are unpredictable! It is a lot of work to pull outfits together, to get on the schedule, and to actually make it happen. The men in particularly don’t always want to be there….. trust me I know all of this first hand!

Kids a lot of times pick up on their parent’s behaviors and stress. If you are having a good time they will typically do the same! So my only rule is to have a good time! I will help guide you through the entire process!

I have some tricks up my sleeve to get kids to cooperate and I also sometimes resort to bribery. Some kids still don’t respond well, if that happens I will typically pull them away with just me for a few moments. This is a huge time in your families life! We are going to have a blast and make some great art! You will see the final images and be surprised how many unexpected moments and great images we will get!

WHAT SHOULD I BRINGAny accessories, layers, clothing, props, etc remember to bring. Any ideas or thoughts can be discussed beforehand with the photographer. Any old blankets or family quilts are always fun to incorporate. The biggest thing is bring yourself and family ready to have a good time!

(each additional person is $25) *immediate family only

Individual Session: $150 (seniors, headshots, etc)

Once the session is done what do you do with the images? Of course you share them online but how

do you print them out for guest to enjoy and for you to enjoy over the years as your family grows and changes?

An album is that answer. We design an album around your images, your family, and your story that

is printed on lustre archival prints, mounted to boards, and then made into a custom album. Prints are great

for displaying in frames or on the wall but an album is really something that will last a lifetime and should

be placed in the living room or bookshelf. Two options of classic linen or leather to make it appealing in your decor.

PRINTING PRODUCTS/PRINTSThe old school way of getting professional prints done was you paid a session fee then you purchased prints individually.

I offer my clients the choice. If you purchase the rights to the digital images you can print your images at a Professional lab that I am calibrated with. Ordering through me there is an up-charge on products/prints for design services and hand

touching up any image before it goes to print. All images are edited but wall art gets some extra attention and perfection. Here are some of my favorite products to order.

BOOKING YOUR SESSION

The session fee is due at time of booking. Sessions last between 45

minutes to a little over an hour depending on the environment, kids,

family. We get the shoots! All major credit cards accepted or you can

mail a check. Payment must be remitted with 5 business days to reserve

your time. If you have to reschedule your session due to an unforeseen

ORDERING YOUR PRINTS

You will have 14 days to view your images online. In that time, you will be

able to order your prints and special products. I will make sure to have your

online gallery operating correctly for you to view and order. If you prefer an

in person meeting, I can arrange that as well. I know it can be overwhelming!

that being said you have two options if you purchased the digital images.

1. If you purchased the rights to your digital images you can also order y

our prints/products directly from the lab at BlackRiverImaging.com and

use code KDP4 to receive 20% off your first purchase. All images are

color corrected and edited so you are more than welcome to purchase

direct with your digital images. They are a professional lab that I am

2. You can order through me with the products and pricing included.

I will also provide an ordering session to meet with you in person, if

needed. Ordering can be stressful, so I am happy to help you make

your decisions, hand touch up and perfect any images ordered, or assist in

any way with any products purchased through Kristy Dickerson Photography.

Bottom line and end goal is for you to print images with a lab I am calibrated

COPYRIGHT KRISTY DICKERSON PHOTOGRAPHY owns all copyrights for any and all images produced in connection with this agreement,

including the exclusive right to reproduce or publicly display such images. As author of all images made hereunder and as provided by law, KRISTY DICKERSON PHOTOGRAPHY shall retain the copyrights in perpetuity,

regardless of possession or ownership of photographs, digital files, or any other format of reproduction.

FAMILIES Layers are fabulous. I am not a big fan of “matchy matchy” and the all black, all white look. I typically recommend to choose a color pallet and then try to keep everyone in those same color tones. For me it is easiest to start with my kids find one outfit and

then just build from their. Don’t pick anything outfits with a lot of small detail as it won’t show up on camera.
