• Superego: Morality, or sense of right and wrong. – Makes you feel guilty when you do something bad

• Ego: Balances the Id and the ego with reality– Based on the reality principle: – Sometimes being selfish and impulsive can hurt us

in the long run– Sometimes we need to address our needs and
