Student Services is an area of the building designed to help students cope with emotional, social, academic, and behavioral issues.
Washington Middle School
I.D. Cards and Tardies• ID’s must be visible, worn on a lanyard, and
around students’ necks at all times.• Student ID’s contain account information for
lunch and snack bar.• New ID’s and lanyards can be purchased for
$5 in the LMC• Temporary ID’s are issued 3 times before a
consequence is assigned.• Temporary ID’s and Tardies are recorded and
documented using PLASCO Trac.
Attendance
Attendance At School Functions: • To be eligible to participate in after-school
functions, students must be in attendance at school prior to the function.
• Students who are suspended from school, assigned to the In School Detention or serving an office detention are not eligible to attend or participate in after-school activities on that day.
Daily Attendance: • If a student will be absent, a parent or
guardian must call to report the absence.

Washington PTA
The purpose of the WMS PTA is to support, promote, provide, and enhance the educational experience of the students of Washington Middle School in the home, school, and community.
Board Composition Four executive positions plus several other positions make
up our Washington Middle School PTA Board The principal, Dr. Burton, also sits on the Board
Meetings: Held every other month, with the exception of the
beginning of year (August, September, November, January, March, May)
