Thank you for taking the time to consider joining AISHK.

I was lucky enough to join AISHK in 2018 as Head of School and it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made.

As soon as you step through our front doors, you can tell that you are in an Australian international school. In many ways, we are a small slice of Australia in the middle of Hong Kong. Consequently, at AISHK, you get the best of both worlds.

AISHK is a very warm, friendly, happy, caring school. Our students love coming to school and are some of the most well-behaved students I have ever had the pleasure to work with. Our staff are very committed, dedicated professionals of the very highest calibre, who truly believe in the wellbeing of the students. Our parents are highly engaged and supportive of our school. AISHK is truly a community school representing Australians living in Hong Kong.

Hong Kong is one of the very best cities to live in. You have absolutely everything on your doorstep; great shopping, incredible food, some of the best hiking and running trails in Asia, lovely beaches and a myriad of experiences to choose from every single day. It is impossible to be bored in Hong Kong.

So, accept the challenge and take the leap, as we’d love to have you join our fantastic school and community. You won’t regret it.

Join the best Australian school outside Australia!

Situated in Kowloon Tong, Australian International School Hong Kong (AISHK) is a non-profit, co-educational day school for students from Reception to Year 12. Founded in 1995 to fulfil the growing demand for a premier Australian educational institution in Hong Kong, the School today welcomes more than 1,100 students. Operating on an Australian school year (late January to mid-December), AISHK is the only school in Hong Kong to utilise the Australian curriculum.

Primary students study the Australian national curriculum and Years 7-10 study the NSW Stage 4 and 5 curriculum, with school based examinations and assessment at the end of Year 10. Students are also entered for academic competitions in several subjects along with the Australian National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy at Year 3, 5, 7 and 9.

AISHK offers senior secondary students (Year 11 and Year 12) the option to undertake either the New South Wales Higher School Certificate (NSW HSC) or the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IBDP), creating a seamless transition to all universities in Australia and around the world.

Where staff are renting accommodation, part of their salary can be treated as a rent reimbursement. A list of the documentation required to be submitted will be provided to you at the time of the contract acceptance.
