Colleges Most Sixth Form colleges run Open Evenings

particularly aimed at Year 10 students in the latter part of the year. These are the dates for the most popular colleges, but there is a longer list on the http://www3.hants.gov.uk/childrens-services/childrenandyoungpeople/ website. All the colleges also run Open Evenings in the Autumn (usually October) for Year 11 students.

Careers Careers Advice at St Mary’s All students will receive a one to one interview with a qualified careers

advisor at the start of Year 11. She will discuss their career ideas, predicted grades, early-entry results and skills with each student, and produce an ‘action-plan’ for each student to take away and work on.

In Year 10, students should start to spend a little time every week researching their careers ideas and consider the A-Level or apprenticeship options that will enable them to access these career paths. The college aims to invite speakers to the college and arrange for a careers day.
