  • SENIOR SCHEDULE CHANGES Colleges DO NOT want students to change their schedules because they make their admittance decisions based on your transcript. If you request a schedule change AFTER your transcript has been sent, you must provide written permission for a schedule change from EACH college to which you have applied.
  • Slide 13
  • Senior Change Letter Dear William, Unfortunately, because students are admitted to UNCW based on the proposed spring schedule they have provided, our policy is to restrict schedule changes unless it is to move into a more rigorous section of an academic subject area such as from Calculus to AP Calculus, for example. Im sure you can understand how frustrating it would be for students we have had to deny due to less rigorous programs to learn that those students we admitted were changing their programs. For this reason, we review full, final and official transcripts of all admitted students to be sure they have successfully completed the courses they reported they would take.

  • College Admission and Social Networking YOUR PROFILE AND PICTURES ARE NOT AS PRIVATE AS YOU THINK! MOST COLLEGE ADMISSIONS COUNSELORS ARE NOT SURFING THE NET FOR YOUR PROFILE. HOWEVER, WHEN OTHER PEOPLE BRING PROFILES TO THEIR ATTENTION, THEY RESPOND! According to NACAC (National Association for College Admissions Counseling), some students have been denied admissions partly because of information posted online. BE CAREFUL OF YOUR CONTENT. IT CAN SOMETIMES MAKE the DIFFERENCE Between an ACCEPTANCE and DENIAL Letter.
