1 WELCOME To the International Conference of Shluchim 5767/2006 B ’ezras Hashem Yisborach, the past year has once again seen a remarkable pace of new Chabad House openings and the new addition of Shluchei Mivtzah Torah. Reflecting this momentum is the impressive representation at the Kinus—an increase of 30% over last year. Commensurate with the growth in numbers at the Kinus are the efforts of the organizing committee to expand, enhance and enrich the five-day experience. The workshops, presentations and seminars were planned with special consideration for the stated issues and concerns of relevance to most Shluchim. Please review the schedule so that you can attend the sessions of most immediate interest to you in your Shlichus activities. We trust you will find them a rewarding investment of your time. CD’s of each session will be available for purchase during the Kinus. The CD number for each session can be found after each session’s title. One of the objectives of the Kinus is of course, the idea of sjh od ohjt ,ca”. This has always been one of the most attractive features of the kinus, and this one is no exception. Rather, with the greater number of Shluchim in attendance, we hope the experience is deepened and will be a source of strength to you in the respective challenges and growth of your Shlichus. Ultimately, we all draw our inspiration from the Rebbe g”hz Surely there is no greater impetus to our increased activity in vru, and vsucg—as Chasidim and as Shluchim—than the knowledge that in so doing, we are faithful to the desire of our Rebbe in bringing the Geula. May this inspiration continue to be the point of unity and camaraderie that binds Shliach to Shliach, and may this Kinus

B’ezras Hashem Yisborach, the past year has once again seen aremarkable pace of new Chabad House openings and thenew addition of Shluchei Mivtzah Torah. Reflecting thismomentum is the impressive representation at the Kinus—anincrease of 30% over last year. in your Shlichus activities. We trust you will find them arewarding investment of your time. CD’s of each session will beavailable for purchase during the Kinus. The CD number foreach session can be found after each session’s title.

  • facilitate an ever greater Kiddush Shem Shomayim and successof what the Rebbe desired from Lubavitch.

The members of the Vaad HaKinus that are listed in the backof this program all volunteered their time and expertise toensure the success of this Kinus. Countless days and weeks, faxes, emails and conference calls over the past six months havetaken palce in order to present this program to you. On behalfof all of you the Hanholas HaKinus expresses its gratitude toeach and every member of the Vaad.

This program guide has been designed to give you maximumbenefit from the Kinus. Here you will find the daily schedule, topics and speakers for sessions and workshops, with all timesand locations. Registration and all general sessions are at OholeiTorah, 667 Eastern Parkway. Due to the yearly growth ofparticipants in the banquet, and as experienced at last yearsevent, we have outgrown all communal and hotel facilities inthe New York area. After much effort and discussion, the venue

chosen for this year’s banquet is the Garden State ExhibitionCenter in Somerset, NJ. Transportation to and from the banquetwill be provided from Oholei Torah. Driving directions areincluded in this guide.

When you register, you will receive your ID credentials plus aspecial wrist band. The wristband is required for your admissionto the Banquet. Your credentials will be needed to gain entranceto all meals and to the general sessions on Thursday night andMotozei Shabbos and will identify you to your fellowShluchim, which is why we recommend wearing it throughoutthe Kinus.

As a result of our successful day-long in-depth seminars, wehave once again scheduled them into the program. These willtake place all day Sunday. Please review the topics in thisprogram and choose your seminar and its location.

Please make every effort to come on time to all sessions and

This year’s Conference centers on the theme of Shlucho Shel Adam K’moso – each Shliach is a reflection of the Rebbe who sent him.

Tonight, through a special video presentation, we will glimpse five areas of the Rebbe’s life, and see their reflection in the Shluchim.
