CATHOLIC COMMUNITY OF FALMOUTH
AWARDWINNING
MEET YOU AT THE ALTAR!!
The Catholic Community of Falmouth has just been awarded the NA-
TIONAL PARISH EXCELLENCE AWARD for YOUTH FAITH FORMATION
VIA TECHNOLOGY for our new faith formaon program “MEET YOU
AT THE ALTAR.” The basis for “Meet You at the Altar” is the weekend
Mass experience where we encounter Christ in His Word, in His Real
Presence in the Eucharist and in the worshiping community. Parci-
pants answer a series of quesons about the weekend Mass that
they a8end either in person or online. A variety of weekend Mass
mes in Falmouth allow families the flexibility to parcipate in the
program in spite of their busy schedules. Check our website for more
informaon or to register. It is never too late to Meet You At the Altar.
We remind all young people in our program to be faithful to submi;ng their weekly journals ei-
ther online or by dropping them off at church. We have been so impressed with the insight of
many of our young people, who truly are parcipang in Mass through this program. Thanks to
them and their parents for their dedicaon to their faith.
ST. ANTHONY HAS BLOWN ITS TOP!
Not really. The
church steeple
was recently re-
moved in order
for it to be refur-
bished. It should
be back in place
by the spring.
Don’t worry, we
s2ll have the
bells!
AND SPEAKING OF BELLS…….
We have just received
permission from the dio-
cese to refurbish the bell
system at the Mary Gar-
den in Woods Hole.
While the bells (cast by
the same company that
made Big Ben in London)
are in very good condi-
on, the mechanism in
order to ring the bells
needs to be replaced.
This will be done in the
early spring, along with the connued restoraon
of the Mary Garden.
THE BELLS ARE RINGING ONCE AGAIN!
Over the Christmas season, a new digital bell system was installed in the stee-
ple of St. Patrick’s Church. Once again, bells in downtown Falmouth will call
the faithful to worship before very Mass.

We appreciate your support of our parishes, espe-
cially during this difficult )me when collec)ons
have diminished. Thanks to those who have
dropped off their envelopes and other donaons.
If you wish to place your dona)on in just one en-
velope (as opposed to mul)ple weekly envelopes,)
please feel free to do so. All three parishes can
par)cipate in the WESHARE online donaon pro-
gram As you know, the weekly collec)on is our
primary means of support. From this, we must pay
u)li)es, insurance and most importantly, our
faithful employees. Thanks to all. Fr Steve

USHERS/SANITIZERS NEEDED
As the pandemic drags on, we are in need of parishion-
ers who would be willing to assist in gree<ng people at
the doors, assist them in sea<ng and sani<zing the
churches a1er Mass. We have had a good number of
volunteers over the past months but they could use a
break! If anyone would like to volunteer to assist in
any of our churches, please contact the specific par-
ish office. Thanks.

COMMUNION TO THE SICK
Several people have inquired as to when we will be
able to resume the distribu<on of Holy Communion
to those who are homebound. I realize that many of
you miss not only the recep<on of the Holy Eucha-
rist, but the visit of our Eucharis<c ministers. As
communicants and many of our ministers are in vul-
nerable categories, we must be very cau<ous in find-
ing a way to provide you the Eucharist safely. Fr. Ste-
ve and Fr. Ryan are available to visit anyone in need
of the Sacrament of the Sick, once again taking pre-
cau<ons.

WINTER SUPPLY OUTREACH
Housing Assistance on Cape Cod is helping our home-
less popula<on. The most urgent need is food and
blankets. Due to Covid19, they ask that any items be
ordered through their Amazon Wish List and shipped
directly to 460 West Main St, Hyannis, MA 02601. Be-
low is the link to food, apparel and warms that are ex-
tremely needed. hBps://a.co/9fnj8lp They are also
ordering wool blankets at a cost of $12.50 each. Mon-
etary dona<ons for blankets can be mailed directly to
HACC at the above address.

SEASONS OF HOPE
Lost a loved one? Struggling through your grief? The
Catholic Community of Falmouth’s Seasons of

the collabora<ve have already par<cipated in the pro-

fromFebruary 20 to March 27. If you would like to

WEDDING COORDINATORS NEEDED
We are in need of few more wedding coordinators
since the number of weddings for this coming year
has increased at St. Elizabeth Seton and St. Joseph
Chapel. Coordinators work in teams of two and facil-
itate the wedding party at both the rehearsal and on
the wedding day. This is a great opportunity to work
with these young couples and their families as they
prepare to celebrate the sacrament of Matrimony. If
you would like more informa<on or if you are inter-
ested, please contact Barbara Carney at 508564
