Role of the institutional leadership

Clarify the role and responsibilities of the self-evaluation steering committee towards all other staff

Support and encourage the process by explaining its significance and addressing any concerns

Take responsibility for the self -evaluation report but does not have to agree with every single point

Focus on the process of self-evaluation (collective task), rather than on the report

Involve a cross-section of the HEI (institutional leadership, academic and administrative staff, students) from beginning to end

Address any concerns and misunderstandings regarding the IEP within institution (underlying principles, evaluation process etc.)
