Style and Design I grew up in Ipswich for the latter part of my teenage years and have seen many changes to my county town in the last four decades. Watching the marina evolve into a fabulous place to live, work, study and enjoy has added a new and fantastic dimension to the town.I am very excited to be heading up the design team for The Winerack after my husband Jeremy and his business partner John Howard started this project. Jeremy and John joined forces at the same time I married Jeremy so we have all been together for almost 30 years. John is a well-known and respected property developer and Jeremy manages the financial side of the business. I have worked with them on numerous developments which have included a Victorian model farm that we transformed into ten homes, an old pump house into a unique living space, a former bank head office into three large houses and various apartments both new build and converted.Looking for inspiration for The Winerack, I visited many apartments up and downthe country but always came away feeling underwhelmed with no yearning to live in any of them. They all seemed to lack a heart and soul which is very important when creating a home for someone.We lost our own home in Suffolk to a massive fire in 2006. Rebuilding it gave me so much more understanding of what a building needs. For The Winerack, we wanted to create a sense of wonder and amazement with seamless, unfussy lines which are easy on the eye and easy to live with. How each individual owner interprets the look is part of the excitement. The devil is in the detail they say and we have spent so much time sourcing our materials to create stunning homes.The Winerack has become an iconic building locally and I am so thrilled to be part of the team that will see this empty shell emerge tall, strong and proud with a little magic running through it.The
