There's going to be a change in the variety of personal care items sold in our stores. Let me explain

what's going to happen.

moisturizers, cleansers, body washes and toothpastes. Due to environmental concerns, scientists have

been studying the effects these beads have on natural water supplies after washing down the drain

and passing through water treatment plants.

ln Erie County, NY (where we have stores), a ban on polyethylene microbead plastics willgo into

effect in February of 2016.ln anticipation of that ban, we have been doing our own investigation. ln the

interest of preventing these particles from entering waterways (where they do not break down), we

have decided to discontinue carrying these products in all of our stores by mid-February 2016.

While we understand this may be disappointing to you, we feel it is the right thing to do for the

communities we serve. It falls under our sustainability initiative to make responsible decisions forpeople, business, and environment.
