Weekly Update 23rd October 2019
Dear Parents and Carers, Great fun was had at Wisley on Saturday, thank you so much for the free tickets Wisley.
We now have two facebook accounts, one for the nursery school and one for the family centre:

Please remember that there is no nursery on Friday 25th October as we are closed for staff
training. Monday 28th October to Friday 1st November is half-term so we will see you back at
nursery on Monday 4th November.
In half-term we are running the following sessions for you and your children:
Tuesday 29th October: Forest School 1-3pm suitable for families with children aged 2-11
years. Please wear suitable clothes and shoes/boots. This session must be booked at
reception.
Wednesday 30th October: Messy play 10am-11.30pm, suitable for families with children aged
0-5 years.
Thursday 31st October: Halloween play and learn 11.30am-1pm, suitable for families with
children aged 0-11 years. Fancy dress optional.
These sessions are all at our Hazel Avenue site and our café will be open!

Parent meetings will be held from 18th – 21st November. Your key person will ask you to sign up for a slot nearer the time. Inset days for 2019/20 (nursery is closed for staff training): Friday 25th October Friday 29th November Monday 27th January 2020 Monday 15th June 2020 Wednesday 22nd July 2020 Christmas plans: Decorating the tree on Wednesday 4th December at 11.30am and 2.45pm. Parents welcome. Nativity on Wednesday 11th December at St. John’s Church, Stoke 4.30pm. Bring the whole family. Christmas lunch for children on Thursday 12th December. Christmas jumper day on Friday 13th December. Party with Santa on Thursday 19th December. Term dates for 19/20: Half-term is Monday 28th October – Friday 1st November. This term will end at 12pm on Thursday 19th December. Spring term will start on Tuesday 7th January and end on Friday 3rd April at 12pm. Half-term is Monday 17th - Friday 21st February. Summer term will start on Monday 20th April and end on Friday 17th July. Half-term is Monday 25th – Friday 29th May.

Open to all families with children from 0-11 years. Come dressed prepared to get
messy! Just drop in, there is no need to book.
A full menu is now available. We look forward to seeing you all in the Café at Hazel Avenue. Café events: Play and Learn Halloween Special Event on Thursday 31st October 11.30-1.00pm Special Menu between 10.30am – 2.00pm Adult Soup and roll - £3 Kids Soup and roll - £2 Hot dogs - £2 The Main Menu will not be served on this day We will have lots of Halloween themed goodies for a TREAT and it’s no TRICK they are seriously Tasty! Dolly Pots – Mobile Ceramic Painting Friday 29th November 2019 Sessions run from 10-12pm or 1-3pm. Prices from £3 - £9. All ages welcome. Make a Christmas present, decorations, a personal bespoke piece or just for something to do on an inset day!
