Monday, August 1, 2011 Paulding County Progress-Weekly Reminder - 5
Dear Friends of the Paulding Exempted VillageSchools,The 2011 - 2012 school year is just around thecorner with opening day for students on August23rd. The custodians and transportation staff have
been busy preparing the buildings and busses for the upcoming school year and their hard work isappreciated. We are excited about the change tosingle bus routes and all students being on the
same schedule, from 8:00 a.m. 3:00 p.m. Allfamilies of students will receive information in themail from the building principal with schedules,
bus information, and student drop off/pick upinformation. Open house for all buildings will beon August 22 nd. We invite everyone to stop in,tour the buildings, meet new staff members, aswell as visit with returning staff. Bus routes willalso be posted. Community support is a vital partof any successful school district, and I look for-ward to working with our communities again thisyear to continue strengthening the education we
provide at Paulding Exempted Village Schools.Yours in Education,Pat RossSuperintendent
Paulding Elementary Hello! My name is Stephanie Tear and I am
blessed and proud to be serving you as the newPrincipal of Paulding Elementary School. I havecome to the realization that Paulding Schools arean excellent place to be! The vision and future for the students within this district are aligned withthe expectations of our great state of Ohio. I amthrilled to share in the endeavor of meeting all our students' needs.I have had the opportunity to teach children ingrades PK through 8th grade. I have been in di-verse settings and worked with diverse learners. Ihonestly cannot chose a favorite teaching experi-ence because there is reward in working with allchildren. As I finished my final year in MountVernon, Ohio at Pleasant Street Elementary, I alsofinished my Masters in Leadership by completinga Principal Internship. It was a transformationalyear for me in that I realized leading teachers is avery rewarding experience. Each day it is the responsibility of teachers todesign purposeful instruction for students and
engage them in learning activities which addvalue to their educational experience. It takestime, planning, perseverance, focus, dedication, aswell as re-evaluating what is working and what isnot working. When teachers are doing their bestteaching and children are doing their best learn-ing, an environment of accomplishment is cre-ated! As I walk through the quiet hallways of Paulding Elementary there is evidence of prideand hard working staff and students. One of the most important components of a goodschool is the partnership between the school and
parents who work together for the best interest of children. Administrators and teachers everywhererecognize the important contributions parentsmake toward a childs success in school. There isno question about it - success at school begins athome. Parents are the single most important vari-able in a childs schooling. Parents model both asilent and spoken language in front of their chil-dren daily. The close partnership between home
and school is a priority at Paulding ElementarySchool. It is my sincere hope that all parents willhelp us fulfill a commitment to excellence. Wemust invest our time and energy into our nation'smost valuable resource - our children.I am honored to be a part of this community andfamily. I promise to work diligently to create asafe, challenging and rewarding environmentaccepting no less than excellence for our staff andstudents.Open House for Paulding Elementary is August22nd 6 7:30. Please feel free to stop by andintroduce yourself!! Students can bring their sup-
plies in on this night and parents can pay fees inthe office as well. Kindergarten, First and Secondgrade fees are $55.00. Third, Fourth and Fifthgrade fees are $50.00. If you need to set up a
payment plan for the year please check with theoffice.I can tell I am a part of a special place and I amlooking forward to meeting and working with the
