Our Mission: Sacred Heart School provides a strong academic community, centered around the Catholic faith, respecting the uniqueness of each individual, and promoting a life-long love of learning. Christmas Pageant Mrs. Balensiefer has been practicing with the students for the upcoming Christmas pageant. The pageant will begin at 4:00, followed by Mass. This is different than the past due to a directive from the Bishop. The pageant cannot take place during Mass. Students should be bringing you a note today with details about the dress rehearsal and times to arrive on Christmas Eve. Soup Labels Please send any Campbell’s Soup Labels to school no later than December 18. The program is ending and we have to send all labels in by January 2. Boys’ Basketball County Tourney Good luck to our boys’ basketball team as they play in the County Tourney at Benton Central tomorrow. They will play their first game at 3:00 against Otterbein. The winner will play either Prairie Crossing or Boswell at 5:00. Go Cardinals! January 2 January 2 serves as an eLearning day for the day of school we missed in September so teachers could attend the Diocesan Teacher Day. Students in grades K-6 should have their folders in their book bags already. The student work will be due on January 3. Students can work on the work over the entire break, it does not need to be saved until January 2. J Preschool/PreK students will not have work to do. Reminder-No School from December 21-January 2. School resumes on January 3. We will use January 2 as an eLearning day.

Caroling Students in grades K-6 will go to many businesses throughout Fowler and spread Christmas cheer. Students will be able to wear Christmas or holiday clothing to school on Tuesday, December 20. Children who are reading at Mass will need to come in uniform and then change. Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather. He/she might be outside for short periods of time walking from business to business. Health Guidelines As we approach winter, I wanted to remind you of the guidelines when students are sick. Students must be fever free (without medicine) for 24 hours before returning to school. The same guideline is followed for vomiting or diarrhea. If your child will be absent, please call before 9:00 to let us know.
