Curriculum Updates/Reminders

  ● Check your personal schedules on a daily basis

○ Unlike D1, we have a lot of small labs this year such as Perio, Pediatrics, Radiology etc that fall under various courses (most but not all are considered a portion of the Pre-Clinical Experience provided by the Into to Patient Care Class).

○ These labs may have one session or multiple sessions that are randomly assigned to students throughout the year.

○ NOTE: You are NOT assigned by GPD per se so do not rely on anyone to remind you, otherwise you may miss important sessions. These sessions are often difficult to make up and may result in a grade consequence.

Tips from Upper Classmen

● Vital Book is a very strong resource for oral surgery labs and quizzes ● The posterior denture teeth you’ll use in lab are not anatomically correct. It’s easy to confuse one type of tooth

for another so make sure that you are careful where you place them! ○ Also, you do NOT put in the second molars (just the premolars and first molars), so don’t ruin your rims by

trying to crowd them in! Do you have tips from upperclassmen PLEASE share them with us all!!
