Week…
Week 16th-20th of February – our Topic is
”Keeping Healthy and Time” – Week 1
The children will learn about Keeping healthy; doing things that are good
for your body, eating nutritious foods, exercising, brushing teeth and getting enough sleep.
It is also important to understand what you eat and how this affects your body.
They will be also taking part in various actives & sessions during the week in relation to topic.
KG1 Activity Sessions:
1. Easting Healthy – Fruits.
2. Eating Healthy – Vegetables.
3. Exercising for a Healthy Lifestyle.
4. Water is important.
5. Sun Safety.
KG2 Activity Sessions:
1. Keeping Healthy with Exercise.
2. Keeping Healthy by washing hands.
3. Keeping healthy by eating healthy, drinking
a lot of water.
4. keeping healthy by brushing your teeth.
5. Time.
School timings:
6:30am Sibling Bus to Primary.
6:45am Early drop off, children will be supervised in the garden, please sign your child in be-
fore leaving them.
7:25am Classrooms open for Registration.
1:00pm Lessons End.
Late pick up until 1:30pm.

Activities
After School Clubs for Term TWO (Spring Term) we will be:
1. Phonics & Introduction to Blending - Mondays
2. Arabic Language - Tuesdays
3. Physical Education & Games – Wednesdays
The Clubs schedule is now available to view on Parents Information Board, please check, and
ring or visit school office to book your child’s slot asap.
Please Note: All Clubs are now full and there are no more slots available for this term, you may still put
your child name on waiting list in case someone pulls out.

Assemblies”
Assemblies will resume week ending 13th of February
Thursday Sharing Assemblies for February will be held as follow:

Story of the
Week
“The Animal Bop won’t Stop”;
Story of the week takes place every Sunday morning, we gather each
year group in the Hall to share the experience of Story Telling. OBJECTIVE: is to teach the children to listen attentively and interact;
respond to what they have heard and seen within a bigger group session.
Reading Books
Early Literacy Programme:
Your child will be borrowing a different book every Thursday of the
week where he/she can take home to read and bring back to school by
Tuesday for Replacement.
Early Literacy aims to help students develop emotional intelligence, imagination and crea-
tively; it supports the growth and development of the student personality and social skills.
The programme has now started for KG1 students: a letter has been sent home last
Wednesday to explain the scheme, and books were sent home with your child on
Thursday, we wish you enjoy reading time with your them.

Events
Colour Day: Thursday 27th of February, our Colour day will be Gold/Silver, kindly dress your
child in something with the themed colour to celebrate the end of the month with us.
Physical Education
PE for KG1 is one fixed session per week: Sunday: KG1A – Ms Rachael Monday: KG1B – Ms Rizza Tuesdays: KG1C – Ms Emy Wednesday: No PE Thursday: No PE
PE for KG2 is one fixed session per week: Sunday: KG2D – Ms Bianca Monday: KG2C – Ms Jinnu Tuesday: KG2B – Ms Nancy Wednesday: KG2A – Ms Amor Thursday: No PE
Please dress your child in his/her PE kit and trainers in the morning, which will be worn till home time. Please make sure to bring extra clothes in case they need to change.

* تدريب الطالب على كتابة الحرف على أوراق ملونة .
* حل بعض التدريبات الخاصة بحرف الضاد .
* عمل نشاط صفي على حرف الضاد .

KG2:
* التعرف على حرف الـ )ضاد( من حيث شكل الحرف وصوت الحرف .

بالمنزل الرجاء إرسالها معه يوم األحد من االسبوع التالي .
ملحوظة : الواجبات الخاصة باللغة العربية يتم تحديدها بمذكرة اللغة العربية .

KG1:
* Students recognise the letter (Daad).
* Students learn words that start with the letter ( Daabaa,Dopaat,Defdaa).
* Tracing the letter (Daad) on the coulor peaper.
* Practice worksheets for the letter.
* Perform a class activity on the letter.

KG2:
* Students recognise the shape and the sound of letter (Daad), and learn how to read
the letter with the accent marks) ضَ ، ضُ ، ِض ( ( Daabaa,Dopaat,Defdaa).
* Practice worksheets for the letter.
* Perform a class activity on the letter.
*Song (Youtube).
Every Thursday, the Arabic language workbook/ notes will be sent with the child to
do some of the required tasks at home. Please send back the notes with him/her
every Sunday of the following week.
Note: The Arabic language homework is set in the Arabic notes.
* Islamic: Surat AL-Ikhlass .
* Developing life skills: Breakfast and dinner.

REMINDER:-
Uniform; Please ensure that school uniform or PE clothes are worn everyday during the school
day.
Drop off; For the safety of your child, children must not be left at the gate or in the build-
ing/ reception with no adult supervision, he/she must be dropped in classroom if arriving on or
after 7:25.
Teachers: will be available to answer any queries or questions you may have every Sunday to
Thursday from 1:00 to 2:30pm, you may set an appointment or call them on school office.
Admission for the academic Year 2019-2020: is still available on our website:
cardiffschooldoha.qa, should you wish to apply for your child, please fill in our online form and
our admission officer will soon be in contact with you.
Term 2 Fees: The school is now colleting Term 2 Fees, should you wish to make a payment
please visit the school office, ONLY CASH payment accepted in Kindergarten, if wish to pay
by debit/ credit card please visit the primary campus, if you prefer to pay via bank transfer
please contact school office or finance Department for further details
Lunch Boxes

For Allergy reasons NO NUTS will be allowed.
Please check expiry date on your child packed food
and drinks.
Water Bottle please don’t forget to put
your child’s water bottle every day in their
lunch bag and make sure that it is refilled
with fresh drinking water daily.
Notebook/ Planner
Please check your child’s Planner
every afternoon for any letters,
information and/or messages from
the class teacher or office, and Re-
turn Back in the Plastic Folder Pro-
vided in your child bag.

If your child is going to be ab-
