    WEEKLY LESSON PLAN: From July 8th through July 12th, 2013

    Multidisciplinary Curriculum Integration: Social Sciences and Math

    Colors and Shapes (Review). Shape Collage Pizzas Rooms o! the "ouse

    LEVEL: Pre Kinder and Kinder

    SKILLS: Thinking skills, drawing skills, communication and language skills.

    Structure: What color is this? What shape is this?

    How many chairs are there in the dining room? There are four chairs in the dining room.

    Where are the bedrooms? The bedrooms are on the third floor.

    Key Vocabulary: Square, triangle, oval, recatangle, circle, heart, diamond, star, pentagon. Red, blue, yellow, pink, orange, purple, green, brown, grey, black, white.

    Look at, my, house, how many, rooms, chairs, where, bedroom, lamp, radio, bed, rug, bathroom, toilet, living room, table, chair, sofa, dining room, kitchen, sink, stove, flowers, book,

    house, floor. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve. First, second, third, floor.

    Lesson Materials;

    White bond paper sheet, coloring pencils, 9x12 yellow or light brown construction paper; crayons ; paper scraps for "shape" toppings (green, red, brown, black, and white) ; circle

    pattern for pizza shape; scissors; glue; pencils; sharpener; Worksheets and Poster

    Objectives: Students will:

    Review shapes and learn about shapes.

    Review shapes and learn about colors.

    Improve their cutting skills by cutting shapes.

    Improve their coloring skills by coloring shapes.

    Improve their gluing skills by using the dot by dot method.

    Learn about collage by creating the cut paper pizza and by using overlapping.

    Warm up(5 minutes)

    Time for e song. The Shape Song. The

    teacher will play the CD while she point

    out the four shapes in the pictures on the

    whiteboard or poster. She will present thenew vocabulary repeating the words twice

    or three times so the students can repeat

    them. The words order will be changed so

    children will identify them showing their

    respective illustration in their books. The

    theacher will increase the speed little by

    little.

    related with the pictures pointed out and the

    actions performed in the song. Each mime

    must be acompanied with its English

    pronunciation. The teacher will repeat the song

    as many times could be necessary to learn this

    new vocabulary.

    to describe the pictures on the whiteboardor poster, telling how these shapes are and

    how many sides thay have.

    triangles, etc. in the air with big arm strokes..

    drew their favorite shapes (not too small# not

    too $ig) on the paper with a pencil. They

    outlined their shapes with a black crayon,

    colred them in and then cut them out.

    students discuss:

    How many flowers are there in front of the

    house? There are twelve flowers in front of the

    house.

    sure to emphasize this allowing every child to

    arms, legs, hats, ears, hair, feet, shoes, etc.

    #ther details like the weather, houses, grass,

    flowers were also encouraged. This was a

    perfect lesson to review shapes and turn them

    into awesome art work$

    shapes one by one. As well as childrenare listening them, they must pick up from

    their desktops little pieces of construction

    paper representing ingredients with these

    shapes and colors. The teacher would pick

    up one piece of carton at random and

    would and will ask them what color and

    shape it is.
