Lots of us are missing having football in our lives due to lockdown, so ITV have come to the rescue on Saturday afternoons, beginning with this clash from 1987.

Gabriel Clarke introduces the programme in which Ian St John and Jimmy Greaves present the 1987 FA Cup final at Wembley. John Sillett and George Curtis were in charge of Coventry’s first ever final, as they took on David Pleat’s team of stars.

David is released from jail after successfully appealing and being acquitted of his wife’s murder. Once free, he vows to find the real killer and bring them to justice, but he faces an uphill battle, surrounded by former friends and family who despise him.
