Welcome to the 2019-20 Weekend Metropolitan Pennant Season.

It wasn’t too long ago we were witnessing one of the closest Premier Division Grand Finals in recent history between Essendon and Clayton, as well as an incredible feat by Aberfeldie CBC, winning two divisional flags in Division 2 and Division 5 in front of a massive crowd at Glen Waverley Bowls Club.

After some amazing achievements from last season, the new season begins on October 5, 2019.

All information regarding the Metropolitan Pennant competition can be found on the Bowls Victoria website. This area contains all season information including:

• The Draw• Player/Club Noticeboard• Conditions of Play (Available late August)• Rules for Attire• Pennant Permits, Clearance and Interstate Pennant Declaration Information

This year we have implemented a few changes, including the Metro Pennant noticeboard. You can access this at www.bowlsvic.org.au/pennant. This is where any changes or newinformation is communicated to clubs and players. It’s important that you check this area for the most up-to-date information, as well as our social media channels.

The information in this handbook is available on the Bowls Victoria website, Each Division has been set up and shows the regular season and finals structure to make it easier for planning.

For this year, and future years, all results must be entered online. If you need help or support in this area, please reach out to Bowls Victoria’s IT department who are happy to assist you to navigate this.

The Metropolitan Pennant Executive have decided that for the 2019-20 season, that sides, rather than being placed in sections based on location in Division 1, would be split to facilitate an even amount of travel across two groups of 20 sides making up Sections 1 and 2 and Sections 3 and 4.
