Letter Name Fluency Homework: September 2019
Have your student practice naming their letter names each day for 2-3 minutes. You can practice with flashcards, magnets, your
phonics letter tile manipulatives or any letter games you have at home. If you do not have any flashcards, be sure to check file
share for some flashcards and other ABC activities. After practicing them together then ask your child to read the letter
names on the list and mark how many they are able to read on their own without any help or support. At the end of the week
file share or email these with your homeroom teacher to show how your student is doing. Then print a new one for the next
week.
Writing Assignment # 2
Assignment:
First, draw a self-portrait of yourself and things that tell about
you. (Language Skills p1-All About Me)
• Second, write about your hair color, your eye color, your favorite
clothes and shoes, your favorite foods, your pets, your siblings,
your mom and dad, or your home. You can use labels in the
picture to tell about these things.
100 points possible
**Remember writing is a process they are beginning to develop. You can work on these over
multiple days, it does not have to be all completed at one setting.
Assigned in writing class on September 9th, 2019. If you miss class or need a review you can
watch the recording for directions on the assignment.
DUE DATE: September 25th, 2019 by 5pm to your homeroom teacher
Please turn into your homeroom teacher as an email attachment or through File share.
If you are unable to scan this assignment, you may take a picture with your phone and attach
it to the email. Please make sure it is a clear picture.
