Associate Dean Kathryn Carter will lead a book club, meeting three times in the winter term, to discuss Fauna by

Alyssa York. We will partner some of our discussions with a Laurier Waterloo book club running at the same times,

led by Eleanor Ty. Those in the book club will get a special chance to meet Alyssa York when she comes to the

Brantford campus for a public event on the evening of February 27.

Dates and times: January 28, February 4, and February 11 at 4:30 in the afternoon, location TBA.

Staff, students, and faculty are all welcome. Posters with details will go up before the holidays.

A three-part forum and discussion series. Join the Veritas Forum for a conversation on the important question:

“How can people of varied beliefs move forward together to work for justice in our world?” This question spawned

a three-night lecture and discussion series brought to the Laurier and Brantford community through partnerships

between Laurier faculty, students and community ministries.

department. The program works to create a relationship

The Dean’s Honour Roll for 2011 - 2012 is now available! Recipients can pick up their certificates at the Dean’s

Office Reception Desk during office hours. For a detailed list of recipients please click HERE. The Dean’s Office is

located in RAC East 132 and is open Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (Closed daily from 12:00-1:00 p.m.) To

verify yourself as a recipient, please present your One Card at pick-up.

Have you volunteered your time on campus? You can now add it to your Co-Curricular Record (CCR)! The CCR is

a document that details a student’s extra curricular activities associated with WLU which is great to attach to a

resume. For information on how to add positions to the record, please watch our VIDEO. If you have any

PRISM funding is a pool of funding that is available to those students, staff and faculty of campus groups

attempting to engage in diversity & respect-focused programming for which other sources of funding are not

readily available. Requests to the PRISM fund will be reviewed as they are received, however applicants should

allow 3-4 weeks for the funding request to be reviewed and results released.

Students, staff and faculty interested in receiving funding should complete the PRISM Fund Application.

It is the police of the Learning Services Centre not to assist students with take home exams, unless a professor has

given prior instructions to the centre staff to do so. Faculty can contact Jenna Olender directly at [email protected]

to give either specific students, or their entire class permission to use this service.

Monday, December 3rd will be the last day that the Learning Services Centre will hold regular appointments and

drop in hours for the fall term. The online appointment booking system will no longer be available after this date.

Appointments can be made up until Wednesday, December 19th by emailing [email protected]

Come to the Learning Services Centre on Wednesday, December 5 at 1 pm if you are interested in partaking in a

grammar review session.

The deadline to apply to graduate without the late fee is

January 15, 2013. A convocation fee of $22.70 will be

applied to your account. Applications will be accepted

between January 16 and April 15, but a fee of $80.65

will be applied to your account ($22.70 + $57.95 late

fee).

Physician appointments are offered daily by

appointments and walk-in (by order of priority).

Chiropractic appointments are offered on Mondays;

treatment approaches include interventions such as

adjustments, soft tissue therapy and exercise

prescription. Massage therapy appointments are

available Tuesdays and Thursdays. For more information

Fitting is now available on-site at Health Services

through Thompson Health Services. LB insurance and

most private insurance companies cover some or all of

the cost of custom orthotics. A physician referral is

required. Call ext 5803 for more information and to

book an appointment.

We offer free Nicotine Replacement Therapy, along with

health teaching and counselling.
