Derek Jeter the captain of the New York Yankees reached his 3,000 Career hit on July 9th. Jeter Homed over the left field fence for number 3,000. Jeter becomes the first Yankee to reach this milestone and is the 28th Man to join the 3,000 hit club and the only person, besides Wade Boggs to hit a home run for his 3,000 hit.

Yao Ming the 7 foot ,6 inch 310 pound center retired from the NBA early this week at the age of 30 Yao had a great career being one of the NBA’s best all time centers. He finished his career with 9,247 points 4,494 rebounds 796 assists 189 steals and 920 blocks. Truly a great career

Christian Lopez a New York Yankee fan caught Derek Jeter’s 3,000 hit ball. Lopez diced to give the ball back to Jeter. Lopez’s said Jeter deserved the Ball as a keep sake In honor of Lopez’s kindness Topps Baseball card company will give Lopez’s his own baseball card. He will also receive autographs from Yankee players club level seats and a discount at a Yankee team store. Millercoors released a statement saying any taxes that are involved with Lopez’s gifts will be paid for.

US v BARZIL

The US women's team tacking on Brazil in this quarter final match. The US score early, a long ball sent forward skids past Abby Wambatch to Boxx, Boxx receives the ball on the inline and sends a pass threw the 6 yard box looking for Wambatch but the ball deflects off a Brazilian defender and into the back of the for an own goal. On the other end Marta of Brazil dribbling in the box flicks the ball over the head of Buehler and stumbles over her and fall In the box Buehler is red cared and a penalty kick is awarded to Brazil. A questionable call by the ref. The kick is blocked by Hope Solo. But the Penalty kick has to be retaken because of movement before the kick by the US. Attempted number 2 is good 1-1 all. The game would end up tied at regulation. Brazil would score again a cross comes into Marta at the right side of the box. Marta dose a half Bicycle kick flicks the ball into the left side and bounces in 2-1 Brazil, if we take a closer look at the cross you see that the Brazilin player was offside's/ But in the injury time the US would tie it up. The US steal the Ball from Brazil then on the counter send a ball to Rapinoe at the half way line she dribbles to the outside of the area and sends a cross in to Wambtch, Andréia Suntaque the Brazilian goalie off her line and Wambatch scores 2-2! The US would go onto win in penalties

SOUNDERS v TIMBERS

The Sounder visiting there North west rival the Portland Timbers. We pick up the action in the 42nd Minute a threw ball is played from the edge of the area to the right corner Alhassan receives it spins out Whal ends a hard pass threw the middle it deflects off Jeff Parke and in 1-0 Portland. The Sounders would answer back Alonso pass to Montero who is tripped up Portland receives a yellow card and Seattle receives free kick. Montero Takes it and he lofts this one over the ball it bounces at the 6 yard box and bounces into the lower left hand corner 1-1, however Montero would receive a yellow card for tacking his shirts off during the goal celebration. Portland was not finished yet Chara steals the ball dribbles and sends a long threw ball to Perlaza down the right hand side he dribbles into the box tries a shot it deflects off Whal and into the upper part of the goal no chance for Keller 2-1 Timbers. In the 74th Minute the Sounders were surging Riley sends a cross to the back post it curves to the edge of the 18 Nagel controls it and cross it again to the back post at the 6 yard box Rosales 1st touch lays it off to Montero and he passes the ball in 2-2. In the 83rd minute Alonso sends a long ball to Nagel he dribbles into the penalty area and is kick in the face by Brunner in the box. Brunner would be red cared and a penalty kick would be given to the sounders Nagel would be ok. Alonso would take the penalty and score 3-2 and that’s your final.

Next Batter Smoak flies out runners tag. Then Kennedy he catches a ball off the end of the bat and sends it to left 2 runs score it’s 2-0 Mariners. To the 4th we go. Callaspo up he singles then Mark Trumbo up he swings puts a high drive and wraps this one around the foul poll his 17th on the year it’s 2-2. In the 8th the Angles rally first batter Hunter he loops one to left it drops then Abreu he hits a slow roller towards 2nd Ackley charges gets they out but hunter gets to 2nd after a strike out Pauley intentionally walks Howie Kendrick. Then Callaspo He comes up he drills a pitch all the way to the fence Hunter scores the ball gets away from Gutierrez Kendrick scores it’s 4-2 and that would be the final. Harren goes 8 2/3 innings as the Angles beat the M’s 4-2 final.

MLB ALL STAR GAME

This years all star game heads to the desert in sunny Arizona. Top 4 Adrian Gonzalez at the plate with 2 outs facing Cliff Lee and he gets all of that one into right center field and gone. The first home run by any player in an all star game since 2008. 1-0 American. 3 batters later Beltre up with runners at 1st and 2nd he singles to left Bautista racing around 3rd the throw by Hunter Pence is on the money Bautista out at the plate. In the bottom of the frame the National league answers right back. First batter Carols Beltran he hits a slow roller towards short the throw by Absurble Cabrera is late Beltran is safe. Then Matt Kemp he singles to left and then Prince Fielder up he gets a fastball from C.J. Wilson and cranks it to center the ball goes off the top of the fence and bones over for a 3 run shot. The very next inning the National league add to there total. Troy Tulowitzki up he singles then Starlin Castro come on to pinch run. Then Castro takes off he steals 2nd. After a strike out Weeks batting and Castro again takes 3rd. Weeks hits a slow roller towards the mound Walden gets Castro at the plate. Weeks continues the trend he steals 2nd then Ethier the batter singes to right, Weeks scores it’s 4-1, But Ethier is out trying to take 2nd on the throw. In the 7th they come again Hunter Pence singles then Pablo Sandoval the Kung Fu panda hits a slicing drive down the left field line it one hops over the fence, pence scores 5-1. That’s a wrap the National league wins back to back all star games both times the winning pitcher was from the Washington Nationals, and it’s the first all star game in 6 years to be diced by more than 2 runs. 5-1 final.

US v FRANCE

The US take on France in the world cup semi final. In The 9th minute a ball is passed up then set down the left side of the field O’Reily picks it up and crosses it on the ground threw the 6 yard box and Cheney provides the slightest of torches to flick it into the far corner of the goal 1-0 US. But in the 2nd half with France dominating possession and territory they would score. Bompastor sends a cross into the box Thiney standing right there keeps Solo on her line but Thiney misses the header Solo can’t react fast enough and the ball bounces past both of them and in the net 1-1. The US would strike again. Cheney on the corner serves one up were only Wambatch can get it she hits down and bones it in 2-1. The US would pick up an insurance goal. Rapinoe gets the ball heads it down sends a threw ball towards Morgan she dribbles into the corner of the penalty area and chipps it pver the goalie and in Morgan’s first world cup goal and it cound’t come at a better time 3-1 final the US will take on Japan in the world cup final!

THAT’S WEIRD For the 2nd time in 9 days a batter has walk on 3 balls against

the Seattle Mariners. The first time it happened was against the Padres the Walk kept the inning alive witch lead to a San Diego run and the game would end 1-0 Padres. The 2nd time this occurred was against the Angles Felix Hernandez walk Bobby Abreu on 3 Balls to give him his 1,400 Carrere walk. That’s Weird!!!

MARIENRS v RANGERS

The Mariners starting off the 2nd half of the season against the Texas Rangers. Jason Vargas pitches against Derek Holland, Last outing Holland threw a complete game shutout against Oakland. Top 1 after Vargas gets the first 2 outs Hamilton up and he lunches one just barley clearing the right field fence it’s 1-0 on Hamilton's 12th homer of the year. The very next inning with 1 down Nelson Cruz he sends one up Suzuki leaps up and just out of his reach it lands just over the fence 2-0 Texas on Cruzes 21st of the season. Texas was at it again in the bottom if the 3rd. Andrus leading off he singles to left. Next batter Hamilton he flies to Center Gutierrez makes the catch tagging is Andrus and he takes 2nd. 2 batters later same situation Michael Young he delivers, he singles to left Andrus rounding 3rd heading towards home the throw by Halman is late Young takes 2nd on the throw 3-0 Texas. Vargas pitching to Mike Napoli in the top of the 6th and he goes yard his 17th Texas’s 3rd homer of the night. The Rangers scored 1 more in that inning. Texas wins Holland pitches 9 innings 5 hits 1 walks 8 strikeouts and 0 runs he had a no hitter till the 6th inning back to back complete game shout outs for Holland 5-0 Final.

MARIENS v RANGERS

The Mariners Send Doug Fister to battle against Colby Lewis in game 2 of this 4 game set. Top 1 Ian Kinsler leading off he doubles to left center. Next batter Andrus he grounds to short Kinsler takes 3rd on third on the ground ball Then Hamilton he flies to Center Kinsler Tags and scores it’s 1-0 Texas. The very next inning Cruz leads off he singles to left. Then 2 batters later Yorvit Torrealba he doubles to left center Cruz hold at 3rd. Then Endy Chaves flies to right field Suzuki makes the catch Cruz tags and scores it’s 2-0 Texas. Action resumes in the 8th Chaves leads off he singles, Next batter Kinsler he singles Chaves gets all the way to 3rd. Andrus now up he grounds to 3rd Seager fields throws Chaves caught in the pickle between 3rd and home, Oliva applies the tag Kinsler gets to 3rd Andrus to 2nd. Fister intentionally walks Hamilton the Beltre up he flies to left (Rangers Sac Fly to every outfielder.) Kinsler scores it’s 3-0 with runners on 1st and 2nd 2323 up he singles to Left Andrus has wheels and the throw is late 1 run scores and it’s 4-0 Texas. Texas wins Lewis goes 82/3 innings 8 strikeouts 2 Walks 4 hits Feliz cames on in the 9th to get the final out 4-0 final.

The Marines celebrating the 10th anniversary of there 116 win 2001 season Edgar Buhner Moyer Wilson and Piniella some of the few mariner‘s on hand. Top 1 Kinsler leading off and he files deep to left and gone his 14th on the year Texas jumps to an early 1-0 lead. Bottom 5 now Gutierrez leading off he singles to batters later Halmen strikes out Guti takes 2nd Then Suzuki singles to center Gutierrez speeds around 3rd and scores it’s tied at 1. Top 6 now Chaves up he singles on a grounder to right field, then Kinsler grounds softly to 3rd Chaves would take 2nd then Andrus he singles up the middle Chaves got good wheels he scores it’s 2-1. with 1 down in the 7th Kinsler up and he does it again a solo shot his 2nd off king Felix 3-1 Texas. Next batter Andrus he singles Then Hernandez called for the Balk so Andrus takes 2nd. Then Hernandez throws a pitch in the dirt it gets away from Oliva and Andrus is safe at 3rd. Then Hamilton Ground back to the mound Felix field throws to first and Andrus takes off Hamilton is out at 1s throw to the plate is late 4-1. The Rangers would score after a single by Beltre and a double by Young 5-1 final Texas has won 10 strait

The Sounders hosting the defending MLS cup champions. In the first minute of the match a ball is played into the box by Colorado Parke doesn't do a great job clearing it and the ball lands at the feet of Wells Thompson at the edge of the area he drills a right footed shot into the lower left hand corner for a goal 1-0 Rapids. The Sounders in the 7th minute Alonso sends a threw ball to Fernandez he has to fight with Kimora to stay on the ball, he dribbles up with Kimoara still in purist and lofts a ball over Matt Pickins for a goal 1-1. Just before intermission Thompson takes ball into the box then drops to Lorerenowitz and he drillers a hard ball low and it clanks off the right post and in 2-1 at the brake. Just after the Brake Alonso again with his spectacular field vision switch the ball to Rosales he dribbles to the corner cross the ball Lévesque flicks the ball to the far post and in an amazing goal ties it at 2. inside the final 10 minutes a ball played to Alonso he pass it to Rosales he lays the ball off for Evans he shots it’s saved by Pickins it deflects to the back post Montero jumps and scores with a diving header 3-2 Seattle. The Sounders had 1 more in them Montero 10 yards away from the area he sends a curling ball to Rosales and Rosales pass the ball right threw to the back of the net. The Rapids get a corner in the 89th minute a header on frame is saved by Keller but the rapids capitalize on the rebound 3-4. after 3 minutes of stoppage time the sounders win 3-4 and are a point behind the 1st place LA galaxy in the Western conference
