Week 1 Term 1 2019 WELCOME BACK Welcome to the 2019 school year at Summer Hill Public School! Our students, staff and families have returned happy and safe; and I am proud the way our students have returned to another school year. I would like to thank all of our parents and caregivers for providing rich learning experiences, time to relax, fun activities and trips away for our students over the holidays - as these experiences contribute to a positive return to school. Of course we have many new faces joining us this year at Summer Hill Public School, namely our Kindergarten students, Year 5 students in our Opportunity Class, Year 3 students from Yeo Park Infants School, new families, and even me! Welcome everyone, and thank you for the warm welcome I have received from staff, students and families so far! I know all of us who are new to the school will enjoy being a part of our Summer Hill Public School learning community. I am looking forward to a productive year of learning for our students, families and staff. We have many up and coming activities and celebrations and we hope you can join us in all or some of them. Summer Hill Public School is a school that welcomes students from a number of diversities and communities. This cross section of diversity provides for a rich and welcoming environment within our school. As a community we encourage our members to fully support our model of inclusion and welcoming. Should you find however that you encounter a diversity represented in our school that you do not understand please do not hesitate to contact one of our Deputy Principals – Ms Williams or Mr Warnock - to discuss your questions. We welcome the opportunity to create a space for improving our school community to one which excels at inclusion, dignity, equity, and respect. WELCOME BACK

Welcome to the 2019 school year at Summer Hill Public School! Our students, staff and families

have returned happy and safe; and I am proud the way our students have returned to another

school year. I would like to thank all of our parents and caregivers for providing rich learning

experiences, time to relax, fun activities and trips away for our students over the holidays - as these

experiences contribute to a positive return to school.

Of course we have many new faces joining us this year at Summer Hill Public School, namely our

Kindergarten students, Year 5 students in our Opportunity Class, Year 3 students from Yeo Park

Infants School, new families, and even me! Welcome everyone, and thank you for the warm

welcome I have received from staff, students and families so far! I know all of us who are new to

the school will enjoy being a part of our Summer Hill Public School learning community. I am

looking forward to a productive year of learning for our students, families and staff. We have many

up and coming activities and celebrations and we hope you can join us in all or some of them.

our school. As a community we encourage our members to fully support our model of inclusion

and welcoming. Should you find however that you encounter a diversity represented in our school

that you do not understand please do not hesitate to contact one of our Deputy Principals –
