Week 1 Pop Art April 6th-10th
We’re going to explore one of my favorite art movements, Pop Art! Take a look at this neat
video to learn all about this groovy art period from the 50s, 60s and 70s (before Star Wars).

Kindergarten, First, Second grade
Step 1. Fold a piece of paper into 4 equal parts. Open the paper and lay flat. You should
have four squares.
Step 2. Draw or trace a soup can in each square. Draw two circles, top and bottom, and
straight lines connecting them!
Step 3. Write fun names for your soup flavors. It can be real like tomato soup, or silly
like pizza soup!
Step 4. Color in each soup can and background a different color! Try to use different
colors for each can!
Step 5. Celebrate by showing your work to someone at home. Take a picture of your
work and send it to [email protected]!
Third, Fourth and Fifth Grade!
Step 1. Fold a piece of paper into 4 equal parts. Open the paper and lay flat. You should
have four squares.
Step 2. Pick a small object in your house to draw. Take your time and carefully draw the
object in each square. You should have four squares with your object in each square.
Step 3. Color in each object and background! Each of your objects and backgrounds
need to be a different color. Think outside the box… try using highlighter colors… this does not
have to be realistic to the original object!
Step 4. Celebrate by showing your work to someone at home. Take a picture of your
work and send it to [email protected]!
