• To introduce yourself in class. • Give a two to three minute speech about you.• To be natural and spontaneous as you speak,
you will not allowed to write your speech beforehand and read it to the class.
• Two methods: 1. picture story 2. Speech preparation worksheet
Method A: A picture story
• Try to think of your speech as if it were a photo album.
• Pictures make it possible for you to talk comfortably and naturally in front of a group of people.
• Occasionally glance at your pictures to trigger your memory.
• A picture is worth a thousand words.
Method B: Speech preparation worksheet
• A worksheet with questions and answers to help you organize your thoughts.
• When delivering your speech, a quick look at the worksheet will remind you of what to say about yourself.
• Questions are meant to help guide you through your speech, not limit what you say.
