Aryavir helps J&K club win roller hockey bronze SPORTS REPORTER JAMMU: International skater and staffer of Commercial Taxes wing of the State Excise and Taxation Department, Aryavir Singh helped the State Roller Hockey Club clinch bronze medal in the recently held Sir Syed Bicentenary All India Roller Hockey Championship at Aligarh. Aryavir led the young side of Shiva Roller Skating Club in the national level competition and helped the side take on the better opponents confidently. "There were some good sides in the competition but the young side of ours played well to finish third," Aryavir Singh said. Army organises drawing competition STATE TIMES NEWS KISHTWAR: Army organ- ised a drawing competition for the students of High School, Malar, Kishtwar District. A total of 30 students par- ticipated and created beauti- ful piece of art, drawing their vision of a modern and well developed state. The competi- tion culminated with prize dis- tribution for the winners and consolation prizes amongst all participants. The army has always endeavoured to provide plat- form to the young and bud- ding minds to display their skills and help envision a peaceful and developed J&K. Army Conducts medical checkup camps STATE TIMES NEWS DODA/SUNDERBANI: Army organised medical camps in remote and far flung villages of Doda and Sunderbani, in order to pro- vide door step medical assis- tance to the locals. The locals were provided medical advice and medicines free of cost. The medical camps were organised at border village of Dhok Baniya, Sunderbani and for the stu- dents of Posta Madarassa, Doda District. Both the places are remote and do not have access to close medical assistance. The local populace appre- ciated this endeavour of army to help and address the medical requirements of people from these remote regions.
