She is survived by her, daughters, Elizabeth E. Wilkerson Favor and hus- band John of Pleasanton, and Monica Wilkerson Jacobs of San Antonio; son, James Wilkerson of San Antonio; brother, William "Bill" Reinhart and wife Dicki Ruth of Somerset, and brother-in-law, Milton C. Tyler of San Antonio. Robyn is also survived by her five grandchildren, Collin, Jillian, Jessica, Samantha and Morgan, and numerous nieces and nephews. Ufra Carrel Richardson, Jr. of Poteet, passed away May 31 at the age of 77 in San Antonio. He was born in Sondheimer, Louisiana on February 25, 1940 to Ufra Carrel, Sr. and Mary Lee (Edwards) Richardson. Ufra is survived by his loving wife, Linda (Belzung) Richardson of Poteet; son, Mark Ward of Jourdanton; daughters, Debra Richard- son of San Antonio, Tammy Caddell of San Antonio and Marsha Jackson of Poteet; brother, Jerry Richardson of Universal City and sister, Judy Ellison of Califor- nia. ROSENDO MARTINEZ Rosendo G. Martinez, a lifelong resident of Ross- ville, was called to be with the Lord on Saturday morning June 3, 2017 at his residence with his family at the age of 79. He was born to Ignacio P. and Eliza G. Martinez in Rossville. He along with his brother and sisters worked with their father on the farm. He attended Poteet ISD. At the young age of 19 he went to San Antonio to work. He started working as a grinder, painter and finally a welder. Rosendo went on to marry his childhood sweetheart Virginia Reyes. They bought a farm in Rossville where they raised their family. He was a part-time farmer, along with his wife and children they grew vegetables and peanuts. He hauled his vegetables to the farmer’s markets in Hous- ton and Dallas. He supported his wife and family as a welder for KLN and Texas Sheet Metal for many years. In 1979 he and his family started building their home. At the age of 54 he suf- fered his first stroke and was unable to work as a welder, so he was forced to retire. He still managed to do whatever he could with his disabilities. He enjoyed working in the fields on his John Deere tractor. He would stay involved by fol- lowing his sons around in his golf cart. Rosendo is preceded in death by his parents Ignacio P. and Eliza G. Martinez, daughter Dorothy Martinez Canales, brothers Ignacio G. Martinez, Jr., Abraham G. Martinez and sister Florin- da Martinez Cruz. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Virginia Reyes Martinez, three sons Jim- mie Martinez, and wife The- resa of San Antonio, George Martinez and wife Kori of Schertz, Leonard Martinez and Beatrice Briones of Po- teet, four daughters Sylvia Bernal and husband Robert of San Antonio, Brenda Flores and husband Daniel of Pleasanton, Nancy Apps and husband Randy of Boerne and Cynthia Galin- do and husband Michael of Jourdanton, his brother Pablo G. Perez, age 76, of Poteet, passed away at her residence Friday, June 2, 2017. She was a loving, dedicat- ed mother. Cecilia enjoyed crocheting, embroidery and quilting. She was a food service worker at Poteet ISD for 44 years until her retirement in 2004. Cecilia enjoyed traveling, eating out and shopping. She was very active at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church where she taught Catechism. She was also a member of the Gua- dalupanas. What she most enjoyed was spending time with her family, who loved her very much and will greatly miss her. ARTURO CHAPA Arturo “Art” Salinas Chapa of Pleasanton, passed away Monday, June 5, 2017 at the age of 66. Art, as he was known by most, was born to Domingo and Josie Chapa on March 30, 1951. He was married to Blasa Flores Chapa, for 24 years. They had three children, Sergio, Amanda and Brian. Art is survived by his father, Domingo Chapa; wife of 24 years, Blasa Flores Chapa; sons, Sergio Chapa and wife Carol and Brian Flores and wife Diane; daughter, Amanda Robles and husband Ramsey; sis- ters, Modesta Gonzales and husband Robert and Senai- da Guerra; brother, Mario and wife Tina Chapa, ten grandchildren, one great- grandson and numerous nieces, nephews and cous- ins. Art retired from Wal- Mart as an over the road truck driver and pursued his passion of mesquite woodworking. He absolutely loved his woodworking and developing his craft and promoting South Texas Mesquite, he was truly an ambassador for mesquite wood. Art donated his time and money to many worthy causes; he helped build the cross, altar, and furniture for St. Andrews Catholic Church. There he became a Knights of Columbus member and served the church in many capacities. He never met a stranger and will be missed by all for his kind, loving, and generous spirit. He faced his tough- est battle against Stage 4 Glioblastoma brain cancer 18 months ago, he faced it courageously and never once complained, never ever questioned why, or why me, he would just answer you with a thumbs up and “I’m alive.” Art was preceded in death by his mother Josie Chapa and his grandparents. Visitation will be held at Hurley Funeral Home on Friday, June 9, 2017 from 12 - 4 p.m. then from 4:30 - 9 p.m. at St. Andrew Catho- lic Church with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Church at 626 Market Street, interment will follow at San Ysidro Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to the St. Andrew Catholic Church of Pleasan- ton Hall Renovation Fund. She is survived by her, daughters, Elizabeth E. Chapa of Pleasanton, passed away Monday, June 5, 2017 at the age of 66.
