Timing: Heavy rainfall most likely this morning with rainfall decreasing in coverage and intensity this afternoon.

Magnitude: Confidence is high of additional amounts of one-half inch to locally one inch. This will result in storm event totals of 1.5” to locally 2.5”

Location: For the heaviest additional rainfall this morning is expected along and south of U.S. Highway 50, across most of south central and southeast Kansas.

Moderate to heavy rain will continue this morning with additional amounts of one-half to one inch across south central and southeast Kansas. A risk for lowland and field flooding will continue until early this afternoon. Some river flooding is also possible over the next day or so.

IMPACTS:

• Many low water crossing will flood.• Flood prone creeks and streams may overflow banks causing flooding of

adjacent roads and land.• Poor drainage streets will flood quickly in heavy rain.• River flooding is a possibility.
