SYLVIA IS DEVON’S CHAMPION
Kivells auctioneers were delighted to see many of our loyal customers at the 2017 Devon Farm Business Awards which
took place at this years Devon County Show.
With over 200 guests present, the evening was a huge success with Lewdown based Sylvia Crocker winning Devon’s
Farming Champion award. The judges highlighted her commitment to the dairy industry by convincing many
supermarkets to stock local milk in prime place in their supermarkets. Quite a thing to do for a beef and sheep farmer.
The evening was hosted by Stephens Scown Solicitors where quests enjoyed a four course meal at the presidents pavilion
on the Wednesday night prior to the first day of the show.
During the evening our own James Morrish conducted an auction which helped raise over £2500 in aid of the Addington
Fund and with support from Barclays Bank this was doubled to £5000.
