Hotel Café Royal has historically been a gathering place for conversation and entertainment, and has welcomed intellectuals, artists, writers, rock stars and royalty throughout its storied past.

Its opulent ballroom and glamorous bars have for many decades been romantic places, right back to the golden age when the likes of Barbra Streisand and Brigitte Bardot would frequent them. Oscar Wilde met his lover here, and Elizabeth Taylor once danced the night away with Richard Burton. The Pompadour Ballroom is the largest event space at Hotel Café Royal. The Grade II listed room and its original, ornate detailing have been sensitively restored to create a grand space for celebrations. The Louis XVI style room has a series of ¦uted Corinthian pilasters and mirrored panels with gilded frames, and its ceiling is decorated with frescos depicting scenes of love.

The Pompadour Ballroom is an opulent space and combined with our team’s careful and intuitive service, will make any wedding memorable. The grand ballroom can also be personalised to leave a tailor-made impression on your guests.

At the far end of the room, large double doors open on to a pillared outdoor terrace with views on to Air Street and the panoramic sweep of Regent Street. It makes for a spectacular London wedding.

The Queensberry is a handsome space spanning the bottom sweep of Regent Street, which is ideal for hosting special wedding breakfasts or banquet dinners to be remembered. Large ¦oor to ceiling windows give views over Piccadilly Circus and fumed oak wall and ceiling panels conceal state-of-the-art technology accessed easily by touch screen, wall mounted control panels.
