Weddings Weddings at the
Hermitage RuinsDundas Valley Conservation Area
Have your wedding ceremony in the picturesque Hermitage Ruins located in the beautiful
Dundas Valley Conservation Area. It’s a unique wedding location your guests will remember.
The Hermitage Ruins is located just off the Main Loop Trail. The restored stone house and its
outbuildings, which now only exist in ruins, were built by Mr. George Gordon Browne Leith, when he
bought the property in 1855. The Hermitage burned almost completely in October of 1934.
After several restoration projects over the years, the Hermitage was restored to its current state in
2016.
The Dundas Valley is one of southern Ontario's most spectacular natural treasures. Highlights of the
1,200-hectare conservation area include lush Carolinian forests, colourful meadows, cold-water
streams, stunning geological formations and an array of rare plants, birds and wildlife.
Thank you for considering the Hermitage Ruins for your special day -
a beautiful natural setting for any celebration!
