The Ellington also boasts four rigging points which can be used for personalised styling such as decorative lighting, suspended floral arrangements or crystal chandeliers. In 2015, The Ellington was recognised as best ‘Function/Convention Centre Caterer’ at Restaurant & Catering Australia’s recent 2015 Savour Australia™ Awards for Excellence – South Australia. The Ellington was judged on the four course Taste of Mediterranean menu. This authentic, yet modern interpretation of a traditional European style offering features all South Australian produce. The Ballroom is The Ellington’s main event space where you can celebrate in style. Unique features include modern finishes with grand deco mirrors and a large dance floor, audio visual facilities, a private green room or retreat and the option of an optic ‘starlight’ ceiling. The Ellington boasts four discreet rigging points which allows clients to sus-pend floral and other decorations.

The Ballroom offers banquets and dinners of 100 to 380 guests and cocktail receptions for up to 425.

Favouring local suppliers, we’re always aiming to reduce our carbon footprint by supporting home grown, environ-mentally sustainable produce.

It’s a food philosophy that we feel very strongly about. It goes to the heart of the epicurean philosophy – creating happiness through good food, good wine, good friends – in a way that does no harm.

This approach means we are constantly researching suppliers who produce food of exceptional quality using humane methods.

We use free–range poultry and free–range small goods wherever possible, and we never use cage–reared eggs. All seafood is Australian, farmed or wild.

Our philosophy also extends to the sourcing of specialty local dry goods such as nuts, grains, and vinegars, as well as local mineral water, 100% Australian orange juice and a fair trade coffee blend. This approach has helped us to create exciting seasonal menus that revolve around fresh local produce when it’s at its best.

So whatever time of year your wedding is being held, you’ll be guaranteed an outstanding meal.
