Create your ideal wedding at a fairy-tale resort against the backdrop of Great Smoky Mountains. Opened in 1948, Nantahala Village Resort offers breath-taking views with a rustic but modern backdrop that blends seamlessly with the timeless elegance of this historic resort. At Nantahala Village, you can have it all, from rehearsal dinner and farewell brunch to ceremony and reception. We also offer accommodations, amenities, and activities for your guests ensuring their stay is nothing short of amazing. Nantahala Village boasts scenic paths, stone walkways lined by tall billowing trees and shrubbery. We have several romantic, lovely venues for you to choose from so that your wedding day is just as you imagine.

With the best views on property The Mountain Overlook provides a picturesque backdrop with mountain views as far as the eye can see a perfect outdoor setting for your ceremony or reception.

The Phoenix Deck:

This covered outdoor event deck has a rustic mountain feel with amazing mountain views. It is our personal favorite reception site.

This indoor venue offers an elegant atmosphere with an outdoor patio with spectacular views. This is a popular choice for Rehearsal Dinners and indoor events.

Frequently Asked Questions Do you allow outside food and beverage? Outside food is allowed both catering and wedding cake. Outside beverage is not allowed, all alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages must be purchased through Nantahala Village. Is there a time limit on the venue? It varies by event, but generally we try to block the reception area for the entire day. All events must end no later than midnight. How far in advance do I need to book? We recommend booking at least 6 months prior, but if space is available we will definitely work with you on shorter notice. The earlier you book the more likely you will get your desired date and space. Do I have to use your vendors or can I bring my own? We have a recommended vendor list for your convenience, but you are more than welcome to use your own vendors. What is your cancellation policy? Written notice is required to cancel your event. Cancellation fees will be based on estimated total Food & Beverage, Venue Rental and Lodge Room revenue committed to in your contract. Cancellation of your event will forgo the Venue deposit and if cancellation is less than 60 days before the event lodging bookings can be refunded up to 50%. If cancellation is less than 30 days before the event lodging bookings are non-refundable and you may also be subject to food and beverage costs. Is the Wedding Coordinator the same thing as a Wedding Planner? No! The Wedding Coordinator will help you plan the aspects of your event that pertains to services provided by the resort, such as food & beverage, venue set-up, and any other aspect regarding the venue. The coordination of all other items including flowers /decor, entertainment, cakes, etc. should be handled by the actual Wedding Planner. Special announcements, special dances and special events such as cake cutting or toasts should be orchestrated by the Wedding Planner or other designated representative. Do you allow pets at the resort? Yes, for a non-refundable fee of $15 per day, plus a $50. No pets are allowed in the Lodge, only in our cabins.
