Nestled in the heart of the charming Cambridgeshire countryside in the picturesque village of Wansford, the old world charm of the 16th Century hotel brings a magical sense of romance to your wedding day. Steeped in history, the hotel also offers a stunning backdrop of ornate décor and beautiful gardens where the River Nene flows peacefully through.
Offering four civil ceremony suites and two larger wedding breakfast rooms, The Haycock Hotel can accommodate the most intimate of weddings to an extravagant celebration of up to 300 guests.

WHERE TO SAY ‘I DO’
Exchange your vows at The Haycock Hotel and be greeted with unrivalled elegance at every turn. With four licensed civil ceremony rooms, meaning you will be surrounded by your loved ones when saying those all important 'I Do's'.
Our licensed civil ceremony rooms are:
RIVER LOUNGEFor between 10 and 30 guests, the stunning setting of the River Lounge, provides views looking over the charming high street, stone bridge and Orchards Gardens.
THE BARNABY ROOMA traditional room with original beams provides a long aisle perfect for your grand entrance. The Barnaby Room holds up to 70 guests and overlooks the rustic Courtyard and classic Orchards Gardens.
THE TAPESTRY ROOMAn enchanting room for parties of up to 48, the Tapestry Room boasts an authentic character. It features an original 16th Century fireplace, with a beautiful tapestry hanging above, creating a stunning backdrop to exchange your vows.
THE DRAYTON ROOMPerfect for ceremonies between 70 to 100 guests (with the ability to extend the room to seat 150 guests for your ceremony). With its quaint courtyard, natural daylight and soaring beams, the Drayton provides an idyllic atmosphere for your civil ceremony.
The maximum civil ceremony numbers are inclusive of registrars, photographers, videographers, musicians, newlyweds and all guests.
Contact the Huntingdon Registrar directly on 0345 045 1363 for available dates, times and further guidance.
Provisional bookings can be made with a registrar up to a year in advance, although confirmation must be made three months prior to the date. You will require two registrars to attend the ceremony and they will explain their charges. On the day of your wedding a separate room at the hotel is made available for you and the registrars to complete the last minute formalities.

Our 'Just for you' package is flexible with the ability to add additional guests as required or personalise in any way you choose. We tailor-make your wedding to fulfil your every wish and we endeavour to ensure everything is exactly the way you both want it.
If you are looking to fully bespoke your wedding at The Haycock Hotel, we have plenty of options! Whether you fancy an afternoon tea for your wedding breakfast, a hog roast for your evening reception or themed canapés, we strive to fulfil your wedding day wishes.
EXCLUSIVELY YOURS
If you are looking for an exclusively private setting for your wedding, the Haycock Hotel offers exclusive use for you and your guests.
Alongside our bespoke wedding packages, exclusive use includes all 14 function rooms, lounge and bar areas, beautiful gardens and courtyards and all 48 en-suite bedrooms for your private use. You and your guests will have exclusive use from 12noon on the day of your wedding until 11am the following day, allowing you to relax in the surroundings of the 16th century hotel with your close friends and loved ones.
THE HAYCOCK BALLROOMThe Ballroom is an exclusive suite, with its own private entrance, private and modern bar, and enchanting gardens. For between 70 and 300 day guests, the iconic Ballroom can host the most extravagant of occasions.
THE RIVER LOUNGEThe beautiful light and elegant River Lounge overlooks our Orchards gardens and accommodates up to 32 day guests.

THE TAPESTRY ROOMAn enchanting room for parties up to 28 guests. The high ceiling, featuring original beams allows you to host a grand, yet intimate occasion.

We cannot guarantee an early check in until the day of your wedding, therefore we always recommend staying the night before should you wish to change prior to the ceremony.Once your wedding is confirmed with us, we will hold 10 Classic rooms for your guests. These will be at a special discounted rate for your guests (15% off the best available rate on the date of booking). These can be booked online or with the hotel direct, using your special code issued by your Wedding co-ordinator.

At The Haycock Hotel we pride ourselves in sourcing the highest quality ingredients for your special day. Starting at only £45 per person for (2018), £55 per person (2019/20) and £65 per person (2021) our most popular Wedding Breakfast is a four or three course meal, leaving you to choose from a selection of choices you and your guests will enjoy on the day. We can also fully accommodate children and infants who can have a smaller portion of the Wedding Breakfast or even children's meals on the day.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How do I check if a date is available? To hold an option on your preferred date, please contact our Wedding Co-ordinator to check availability. This can only be held for a maximum of 10 working days. Bookings not confirmed within this will automatically be released for free sale.
What is the deposit? To confirm your day, a 20% deposit or £1,000, whichever is less, based on your contracted amount, along with a signed contract is required.
Is there a minimum number or spend for a wedding at The Haycock? Bookings for the Ballroom must have a minimum contracted spend of £6,000.00. Bookings for the Conservatory must have a minimum contracted spend of £3,000.00
When do you need final numbers? Final numbers are requested six weeks in advance of the wedding and we reserve the right to charge for any shortfall from the contracted minimum numbers. Full payment of pre-booked items is required 2 weeks before the wedding. All prices quoted are current prices only and we reserve the right to amend these prices should circumstances beyond our control influence their composition. Prices quoted include VAT.
What age are children?Children are 5-12 years old and are half price. Infants are 0-4 and are free. We can fully cater for children either with half portions of the adults meal or a kids menu including pizza and chips/chicken and chips etc.
Do we receive a menu tasting? We strive to provide the very best seasonal menus to make your day extra special. We are able to arrange a menu tasting if you are spoilt for choice however this will need to be 9-12 months in advance of your wedding to ensure the ingredients are in season & therefore in stock at the hotel (where this is not possible, alternative dates may be arranged).
Menu tasting may incur an extra charge – please speak to your coordinator to arrange this. You can also invite additional guests for £25 per person.
Can we bring in our own wine or beverages?We do not offer this service at The Haycock Hotel.
I would like an evening reception but not sure if I want an evening buffet. Is this possible? If you require the Banqueting Room after 6:00pm food must be supplied for all guests attending the evening reception at a minimum price of £10 per person or a further room hire charge will be applicable.
Do you allow candles to be lit?Yes we do as long as they are in holders and noton the floor.
Can we have fireworks?You are welcome to have fireworks in the grounds, however fireworks must be supplied by our recommended suppliers and cannot occur after 10pm. We also require 2 months notice prior to your wedding day should you wish to have fireworks at your wedding.
Are there any noise restrictions? The noise levels must not exceed the limits expected by law and must be adhered to at all times. From 11pm the doors to the garden and curtains will be closed to keep the noise to the required level as not to disturb the local community. This will be monitored by the Manager on Duty and if requested the DJ must reduce the noise levels.
Please note that this is a standard requested by the Environmental Health Noise Pollution Department and does affect the Haycock's Entertainment Licence. Failure to comply will result in the disco being stopped.
What is the latest time our evening reception can finish? Our entertainment license allows your evening function to finish at 1am (Midnight on Sundays).NB the Bar will close half an hour before your function ends.
Can we have confetti?We allow bio-degradable confetti, real or dried petals outside only. Confetti canons are not allowed on site.
What happens after we book? We will give you a final details pack and guide you the rest of the way!
