Things to Do in Beautiful Marrakech
6. Mellah (Jewish Quarter) – Narrow streets of the quarter will return you back 60 years to when the Jews still lived here. At one time, this small walled city within the city flourished and still houses Lezama synagogue and a Jewish cemetery.
7. Ali ben Youssef Medersa - Stroll through the 14th-century quranic school, a masterpiece of Hispano-Moresque architecture and one of the largest Islamic study centres in North Africa.
8. Cooking Class - Test out your culinary chops learning how to create your own Moroccan feast by taking a cooking class. http://www.soukcuisine.com/ 9. Food Tour – Take your taste buds on a tour, tasting samples of the city’s rich food culture. https://marrakechfoodtours.com/
10. Hammams/Spas - Escape the hustle and bustle of Marrakech and pamper yourself at one of the many spas. http://www.lasultanahotels.com/eng/marrakech
1. Jemaa el-Fna (the city’s main square) - Catch the sun set from a terrace over Djemaa el-Fna before diving into this outdoor circus of performers, snake charmers, henna artists and much more, then grab dinner at one of its many open air stalls. • Tip: Moroccan street performers can be annoyingly ‘persuasive’, even aggressive when asking for a tip, but it is nothing a firm no can’t tackle. They are ultimately harmless and we suggest treading the fine line between firm and polite.
2. Souks (markets) - Get lost in Marrakech’s centuries-old market filled with all kinds of treasures. The city’s largest souk is directly connected to Djemaa el-Fna, but here is a detailed list of various souks by category http://trip-n-travel.com/listicle/20710/.
3. Jardin Majorelle - This botanical garden was created by a French painter over 40 years and it also houses a Berber Museum, showcasing the history and culture of the oldest people in North Africa.
4. Yves Saint Laurent Museum - Appease the fashionista in you by checking out this museum, dedicated to the work of the legendary French fashion designer.
5. Koutoubia Mosque – Built in the 12 century, this is the largest Mosque in the city and one of its most prominent landmarks.
