Are you looking for a beautiful, serene setting to accommodate your event that also offers the convenience of brand new, modern amenities? Look no further than Indian Creek Nature Center’s Amazing Space. From birthday parties to business meetings, and family reunions to weddings, our facilities will meet your needs in natural style.
Our environmentally sustainable building evokes the ambiance of the outdoors inside with an abundance of natural light, beautiful wood and stone elements, and a stunning water feature. Your guests can enjoy various exhibits including the interactive watershed table, the all-glass bird viewing room, and the touchscreen energy portal. The building is nestled between prairie and a backdrop of woodlands, and the outdoor space features a large, lit patio; wetland deck; outdoor classroom where children can play; and woodland amphitheater.
On the back of this sheet is a listing of the various rooms in Amazing Space that are available for rent. Please contact our Facility Rental Coordinator to book a space, and see the rental contract for rates, rules and policies. Exhibit/Reception HallWhen you walk into Amazing Space, you arrive in the Exhibit Hall featuring a beautiful view through the all-glass bird room into the meadow and woodlands beyond. The towering open ceiling, exposed wooden rafters, and peaceful water feature make this an ideal space for any event.
AuditoriumThe largest space in the building, the bright, welcoming Auditorium features reclaimed barn wood paneling, large windows on both walls, double doors to the patio, an art alcove, and a state-of-the-art AV system. The pass-through window to the catering kitchen and in-house round tables and chairs make event planning easy.
KitchenYour caterer of choice will feel right at home in our fully stocked, spacious catering kitchen. Commercial freezers and dishwasher, a convection oven, and food prep island with handwashing sinks makes food prep a breeze whether you’re hosting an event for 12 guests or 120.
ClassroomsOur two classrooms provide the ideal space for smaller meetings or birthday parties. They fit 25 people each and feature a retractable dividing wall, so they can be rented separately or together.
Conference RoomThis beautiful meeting space fea-tures 12 chairs around a stunning custom wood table, handcrafted by local woodworker John Schwartz-kopf. The space features a web-con-nected TV for presentations and a side table for serving refreshments.
Bird RoomSink into the oversized chairs in the all-glass Bird Room and enjoy the sights and sounds of the bird sanc-tuary and woodlands. Ideal for an intimate group of 4-5 people and is only rentable after public hours.
Deck/PatioEnjoy views of the prairie, wetland and woodlands from this beautiful outdoor space. Our large patio is surfaced with permeable pavers, and features three pergolas as well as access doors to the kitchen, auditorium and exhibit hall. The deck connects to the patio and extends over the wetland.
Outdoor AmphitheaterA short walk up a wood-chipped trail brings you to our peaceful outdoor amphitheater, at the edge of the woodlands behind Amazing Space. Limestone seating built into the hillside faces a stage with electric hookups, with views of the solar field and prairie below.
YardIf you’re looking for a lawn-covered, open outdoor area near the amenities of the building, the yard will meet your needs. Picnic tables are available.
