Type of ceremonies Legal For a ceremony to be legal in Mexico it is required to be in Spanish and we therefore provide you with simultaneous translation at the moment of the ceremony. There are certain requirements and paper work needed for this type of wedding which needs to be sent prior to your arrival to Puerto Vallarta and for us to be able to send your marriage application to the Civil Court in Puerto Vallarta. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR A LEGAL CEREMONY -Each couple needs to obtain original certified copies of their Birth Certificate (At their Vital Statistic office or Vital Records office). The certified copies need to be dated one year or less before the wedding date. They need to send the original recent certified copies of their birth certificates to Apostille (if the country does not use Apostille, they must have their original documents stamped and signed by a Mexican consulate or Mexican embassy. - If the couple has been married before: They need to present recent original certified copy of the death certificate or divorce decree (please note that at least a year must have be passed since the death or divorce before they can remarry here).This document needs to be send too to get the Apostille Or certified stamped by a Mexican consulate. -If the couple are Canadians: They must have their original long form (the one with their parent’s information) of the recent certified copies of the birth certificates stamped and signed by a Mexican consulate or Mexican embassy in Canada (legalized birth certificate). Couple will provide clear copies of their passports Couple will provide clear copies of their two witnesses (over the age of 18; who are not Parents or Grandparents). Couple will provide copies of their FMM tourist card and copies of the FMM tourist card of their witnesses. Blood tests must be performed in Mexico before the wedding. Medical certificates must be order in Mexico. Couple must attend a chat given by a social worker at a government office. Mandatory too: Translations of all the documents (the translations of the documents must be done by the official translator of the city hall in Puerto Vallarta). *NOTE: The requirements are subject to change (so it is important to reconfirm these with your wedding planner). Services of Judge for Legal Ceremonies have an additional cost, as well the legal documentation arrangements and /or other related fees are not included in the Wedding Packages.

Type of ceremonies Symbolic The Symbolic ceremony (non –legal) is performed in English by a minister; there is no paper work, blood test or additional fees involved, also is not necessary to be legally married before or after the ceremony. For the spiritual ceremony the couple can arrive 1 or 2 days prior to the wedding day. Please note that a symbolic ceremony does not have any legal validation in Mexico or any other country. During the ceremony the couple will sign a symbolic ceremony certificate.

Terms, Policies and Restrictions

All services required by the couple for the wedding ceremony or reception will be supplied by Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta. Outside Vendors are generally not allowed; exception fee is $350 USD for each outside service or vendor, not per company. If the outside vendor stays for the reception they must be included as an external guest. (HYATT ZIVA IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR EXTERNAL SERVICES HIRED AND AFORESAID FEE IS NOT REFUNDABLE). Outside vendors must enter the hotel through the security booth entrance, with uniform, showing an official I.D., and they must wear a visible identification tag that will be provided at their arrival. Hyatt Ziva reserves the right to refuse admission to our hotels if they do not accomplish the aforesaid rules. Private outdoor location receptions can last up to 10:00 PM. All locations are subject to availability. In case of bad weather, the event may be changed to an indoor location. The decision must be made at least 4 hours before the event. The Wedding Specialist will advise the couple of the location change, if they cannot be contacted the change will be done automatically. If the couple declines to be moved, they will pay $2500.00 USD as a damage deposit for the furniture and equipment. Bride and Groom will be responsible for any damage to Hyatt Ziva property made by any wedding party guest during their event. Hyatt Ziva reserves the right to change wedding or reception locations due to any circumstance of major force beyond our control. The guest list and final wedding details must be sent to your Wedding Specialist at least 60 days before the event. Any additional last-minute request service will be subject to availability and payment should be done once it has been confirmed as available. All terms and conditions will be established in a wedding contract and will be effective upon receipt the wedding contract signed by the groom & bride or the travel agent. If we do not receive wedding signed contract 60-45 days before the wedding day or any other notification from the petitioners, Hyatt Ziva reserves the right to release and cancel the date and time reserved for your wedding.

Payment Policy

We require an initial deposit of $500.00 USD to reserve the wedding date. This deposit will be applied to the final amount of the wedding package and additional services. The 50% deposit is refundable until 08 months prior to the wedding date, the remaining 50% is not refundable. If the wedding is canceled after eight months before the wedding day the deposit will be kept as a penalty with no exceptions. If the wedding is canceled, but the couple still travels to the property, the deposit can then be applied towards any additional room charges made during their stay. Full and final payment for your package and all extra services is due 60-45 days before the wedding date. All terms and conditions will be established in a wedding contract and will be effective upon receipt the wedding contract signed by the groom & bride or the travel agent. The signed wedding contract will be require 7 days after the deposit is placed. If we do not receive this agreement or any other

notification from the petitioners, Hyatt Ziva reserves the right to release and cancel the date and time reserved for your wedding.

Terms, Policies and Restrictions

There will be a mandatory “$500us separation of Events Fee” if the couple chooses to separate their events. Packages must be used in immediate sequence or the fee would be applied All wedding guests who are not staying at Hyatt Ziva will have access purchasing a day pass which costs of $150.00 USD As a leader in Destination Weddings Hyatt is able to offer these great packages at affordable and accessible prices for any wedding client. In order to offer all our wedding services at such an affordable price we must sell them as whole packages that are not substituted with anything. Extras can be purchased, however if you do not utilize the services in the package you have provided then those cannot be subbed for other wedding products or services. The hotel can request any guest to leave the hotel premises is someone of the wedding guest is under at least one of the following situations and no refund will take place: • If the guest stats or is part of a fight with other hotel guest or staff • If someone is using drugs of any kind • I fhe damages the resorts on purpose • If he uses hotel´s public areas as restrooms For any of this situations a fee will be charged according with the damage and will be requested to leave the property immediately.
