Congratulations on your engagement and thank you for considering the Capricorn Caves as your wedding venue. Members from our professional wedding team are available seven days a week, by appointment and are happy to show you our facilities and discuss your special day.

Wedding Ceremony Cathedral Cave– We provide a wide red carpet down the aisle, clusters of tea light candles, lanterns, candelabras and a registry table dressed in a white linen cloth. Additional decorations are welcome. Guests are ushered by staff to and from the Ceremony in the cave, where pew seating for up to seventy, plus standing room for additional guests is provided. Wedding Reception Buffet Reception- Our function area is available for exclusive use at no additional charge. Wait staff serve pre– dinner finger food and provide table service for main course to the bridal party. Guests enjoy buffet service. White linen tablecloths are supplied with the appropriate table settings ( cutlery, glassware, chinaware ) and colour co-ordinated napkins to suit your theme where possible. We provide skirts for the bridal, buffet, cake and water station tables. Our tables are rectangular and 120 guests can be seated. Minimum charge for buffet reception of 30 adults. Gourmet Finger Food Reception– Our function area is available for exclusive use. Platters of hot and cold finger foods are served to the guests by our wait staff for a period of 3 hours. Unlimited tea & coffee is available. We provide skirts for the water station, cake and gift tables and colour co-ordinated napkins to comple-ment your colour theme. Minimum charge for gourmet finger food reception of 40 adults. Our reception area includes a fully licensed bar and professional, friendly staff to provide service for the evening up until midnight. The bridal couple are welcome to add extra table decorations, place names, floral arrangements etc. Please have all decorations and music delivered to the Capricorn Caves the day before the wedding.

Music Ceremony - Our Cathedral cave is known for its fantastic natural acoustics. We provide an ipod in the Cathedral for your ceremony and staff to operate it. It is important to bring your music to us at no later than 48 hours prior to your wedding day on a USB , so we can be sure it is compatible and download-ed to our ipod. Live music is also welcome by your arrangement. Music is required for: Pre-ceremony ( 5 or more tracks ) Bridal entry down the aisle (1 track) Signing the register ( 2 tracks ) Leaving the cathedral (1 track) Reception - Please make your own arrangements for your reception entertainment with a DJ, jukebox, live band or musicians.

Wedding Photographers If you are intending to have a professional photographer take your wedding photos, we would advise you to contact one early. Standard Cabin The Standard Cabin is centrally located to Kiosk facilities, Function area, departure point.

Lodge Located near the Caravan Park and camping ground, the lodge provides the privacy of the bush whilst being centrally located to amenities block and laundry. Facilities include:

12 rooms featuring 2 x bunk beds in each (4 people per room, 48 persons total)

Communal amenities Kitchenette Recreation Room Perfect for groups & weddings

Caravan Park & Tent Camping The park is nestled amongst the native bushland and is a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle.

disappointment we recommend booking accommodation as early as possible.

Wedding / Functions Terms & Conditions



Please read through the following terms and conditions carefully, then complete the details at the bottom of the page.

Tentative Bookings–Tentative bookings will only be held for 14 days, after which a non-refundable deposit of $200 will be required to secure your booking. This amount will be deducted off the balance owing for the wedding ceremony / reception. ( This deposit does not cover date changes).

Confirmation– Final numbers for the reception required 14 days in advance. Full payment required no later than 7 days prior to wedding. No refunds will be given for cancellations seven days prior to the wedding. Wedding receptions – minimum numbers of 30 adults is required. Every effort is made to ensure that prices stay the same as quoted to the customer. However, these are subject to change at the discretion of management.

Loss or damage– Loss or damage to property fixtures or fittings caused by the client or guests during or after the wedding / function, will be the financial responsibility of the client and appropriate charges will apply. Capricorn Caves will not accept any responsibility for the damage or loss of valuable articles before, during or after the wedding / function. The throwing of confetti, rice or flower petals is not permitted on the property.

Entertainment– Management reserves the right to control the volume, type and quality of entertainment. Please note that you are to provide your own entertainment for the reception.

Licensed Venue– Capricorn Caves is a licensed venue from 10:00am till midnight. All drinks are to be purchased through the Caves bar. Special toast wines can be ordered with advance notice. BYO drinks are not permitted. If wedding guests do not abide by this condition, we reserve the right to confiscate this alcohol. It is illegal to serve alcohol to intoxicated or disorderly patrons, or patrons under 18 years of age. We reserve the right to refuse service to patrons who do not have I.D. Patrons not following these policies may be asked to leave the property. Smoking– The new smoking policy as per Queensland Government legislation effective 1st July 2006. Services provided– The function area is available for the exclusive use of the wedding party. The wedding or function must conclude by midnight. Some table service is provided for the bridal party and buffet service for the guests. Any remaining food will be disposed of accordingly to health and safety regulations. Wedding attendants are not permitted to take any left overs. Wedding Team- Our wedding team is available by appointment, only to help you plan your day and show you the facilities. Accommodation– Accommodation bookings must be secured a.s.a.p with credit card details.

Surcharge– Weddings held on Public Holidays and Sundays are subject to a 20% surcharge.
