Your full argument . . .
The public display of the Ten Commandments in court buildings should not be allowed because it violates the constitutional prohibition against the “establishment” or official government recognition of religion. As Harvard legal scholar Alan Durshowitz documents, the Supreme Court has now ordered in numerous cases that religious symbols must be removed from public places because this violates the Constitution’s establishment of religion clause. The display of this document in most cases, such as the recent monument placed in the Alabama federal court house, is a clear reference to a Christian God and religious teaching, thus giving preference by the Govt. to one religion and faith tradition over others.

But wait…another argument!
“The posting of a Ten Commandments plaque or monument should be allowed in court houses because it is nothing more than the display of an historic document upon which U.S. legal doctrine has been founded. In the U.S. Supreme Court building, for example, there is a depiction of the Ten Commandments, along with other historic legal documents. Thus, why should it be legal for a display of this very document in the highest court of the land, yet not legal in other courts and courthouses?”
